What is your recommendation of 35mm lens for Leica?

I'm usin' 35 cron asph and I like it very much.

I think there is no such thing as the best 35mm lens for Leica really.

Technically maybe the latest 35mm lux asph with the floating elements will be the best on the market but it doesnt float my boat.

Sharpness, is over rated really.

There are many other lenses on the market, Nikkor 35mm F1.8, canon has quite a few 35mm as well which are really good. All depends on your shooting style really. Classic or modern look.

Most go for the modern look upon start but once you "mellow" down into the RF love, you start looking for classic lenses which give a different look for the very norm modern lenses.

IMHO, Zeiss Biogon 35mm F2.0 is the most bang per buck.

RWC, like your last sentence. Can't agree more.:thumbsup:

I am not the same. I started with classic lenses (pre-ASPH), then slowly buying modern lenses now (ASPH).

At least you need two, the first version summicron and the latest version Summilux.

For me, I think I would love to have the Lux 35mm F1.4 steel rim but the prices :bheart:

Classic lens in chrome, so sexy

hmm think TS is not looking for the best 35mm leica mount lens.

Imho as usual factors are involved; budget, preference for modern/classic look as someone has mentioned, maybe the lens sizes, et cetera.

Budget wise I dont see why Nokton 35/1.4 MC/SC can be ignored.
For modern look then 35mm cron asph will be just great.

Just my 2 cents :)

Eh 35 cron ASPH considered modern look meh? I thought it bery high contrast so considered classic le

..seems my perception is 'older' than I thought! hahaha

What's best?
Technically best? Bokeh best? rendition/drawing best? size best? Best for its time? Fastest the best?
There's no one best lens. That's the problem with RF.....
That's what I've learned.....every lens is nice in its own way.....
