Can I post my already posted picture here? On the the outing? Anyway deathrequim what white balance you use as you say earlier on...and Jacob about the NB thanks for sharing but how do I set or get NB for Nikon D3000

depends on how i want the scene to be. if i want it very warm then i use the white balance that compensates for 6000k or 7000k like shade or cloudy. if i want it very cool then i use the settings that compensate for a warm colour temperature(tungsten, flourescent etc)

Like the way you position yourself on this shot, interesting view.. the railings (foreground) help to lead out to the night scene. (wish the railings intersection angle is much wider then 90 degree, that will remove more space in the middle)..

The flare of the lamp (on the right) can be remove (during capture) by using your hand to extend your len-hood.

two-cents worth only

C & C greatly appreciated :D
Yo Telboon, for #3 (above), i think you got Jacobs, Jeffery & me in the shot (guys on the left).. should have ask us to act like we shooting... with camera/tripod and looking serious.. and also keep still for a couple of seconds.. then you will another picture :)

2-cents worth only

Bro Jacobs - Noticed CT & ZCA pop-by to comment on your work :)

Bo bian..my pictures were not in standard..so need Master Sifu to provide me a guide until my photo getting lack suck..:)

Enough of joking around.. I will try to be constructive :)

You Jason?

me minimialist.. like things to be simple.. some of your shots is a little messy.. toooo many potential subjects :) Like this one.. only slight problem.. good to have photographer as well and also better if the photographer+camera+tripod is not "covered" by the background.. (i.e. stronger constrast between subject and background..

Maybe just post 2-3 pics.. then ask for C & C?

but I'm only a "newbie" - black label.. so just take comments with a pinch of salt - 2-cents worth...

Yup Jason here.

Thanks for the c & c... Yes i think too many things to focus on in the pictures also..

I realised that the contrast btwn the camera & BG was too little so i took another shot,

IMG_6061_1024x683
but i thought the first one the camera was at an angle so it looked nicer so post that one... ha...

yo deathrequiem - like 1,2,3 and if you know how to set WB to various modes for different scenes.. you are not a NEWBIE :)

Due to your photo were damn nice, so cannot stop to make another comments..:bsmilie:

hahaha bros dont like that say leh i will shy one :sweatsm:
thanks for all your kind comments, however i believe i still have a long way to go...my composition is not good, pictures also dont seem to have foreground interest :)

you do video, you know the basic of photography as well.. You are Right :) the angle on the first one is better, you can also caught the sun rays on the rim of the camera/lens.. will be more "3D", this one too flat.. - 2 cents worth

Love the outing! :)

Hi wynnlei - I think you have read-up a bit on composition? (good effort.. not like me.. never bother to read).. which is likely why your horizon is never in the middle :) In such cases, you are trying to emphasis the sky in the composition.. correct? then your skys are not as "drama" .. guess you and me can learn a bit from deathrequiem in the future about WB settings to create additional "drama".. #-2 is overexposed

verbal diarrhea, excel daily quota of posting.. will be last comment.. 2-cents worth

Thanks Cleonbus for the outing. So happy to see my shifu in this outing "Jacobs" actual
he is my shifu not me. hehe. Also need to say sorry to all because i late and go off early. Yup. It seems I am capturing a different sky. When I was looking back at my photos, I was frustrated where are the colors and the 'drama'?
