Beginners Outing(Part 28)-Sunset at WDLS Waterfront III on the 9 Sept(Photos thread)

Learn something new... Did not realize that there is grid on the live view .

Yes. Ivan, I used both. The electronic leveler on my hotshoe and the grids displayed on my live view.

Thanks Jeffrey. I am still a newbie that trying to exploring a little of everything.
There are so many seniors and sifu around to learn from.

Wow ur #3 pic it's simple but it's nice :D

Please pardon me from the weird and lousy Panorama photo. Its my first time trying out. Still trying to grasp the concept of doing it. I know its lacking a lot of view that was supposed to be there. Those who are into this area please guide me along. I have seen some of you doing it pretty nicely.

What I am looking out for is, how much overlapping is practical? Correct me if i'm wrong, the no. of shot does not matter as long as I'm able to stitch them together right? Does it really matters if all of shots are of different height or distance?

#01 - Am trying to show a path way into the jetty and the other end of the jetty. But I think I fail doing tt..

I am also new to this. From what I read and experienced, around 30% would be enough. If the subjects in the pano are all static, the number of shots doesn't matter. However, if it includes people or other moving objects, be mindful that they remain static in the overlaps, otherwise you will have problem stitching nicely. :)

Sorry for the delay cos i'm not really good on how to link pics to CS haha ;p

Ivan, nice talking to you yesterday !

Composition wise is pretty good ! Nice skies and clouds !

But I'm not sure why, I feel it looks abit under exposed to me.

My 2 cents

Oh yah...it's under exposed not minor but major haha cos i prefer this type of feeling (like end of the world or hellish moment) cos this is just a fantasy HDR + pp so just post it for fun ;) Maybe it's my bad habit of preferring darker photos ^^

I guess that is the Dramatic feel that you wanted. Well, i agree under exposed does give part of the element to the pictures.

But I prefer the Calm feel, which give me a smoothing feel when I see the pictures..

Thanks will take note of that. Hehe.. ^^

Finally I got the time to review my own photo.

Here is my share
