:think: maybe I go CG in the afternoon too. But not model shoot lor, as no prime lens.
Say hi if u see me leopard crawling towards some squirrel or birds. :bsmilie:
lolx.. not necessary need prime den can shoot. Of course got prime the effect is better.. ^^

portrait shooter use primes cos of the shallow D.O.F, causing the background to blur out ..
portrait lens are fixed focal, thus, the lens construction is simple, which I feel it's sharper than zoom lens with complicated construction.
Overall, I still prefer using primes after 2 months on my 50 1.8, which I did not use my zoom for quite a long time.

Beginner Shooters Outing Rules & Guidelines
From now on,outing rules & guidelines will be posted here instead of the outing threads.All ClubSNAP members from young to old are welcome to join our outings
1)After you've signed up for that respective outing,please note:
If you've NOT joined any Beginners Outing before,please send me(cleonbus) a PM with the following(This includes those in the reserve list too):
PM title:Beginners Outing(Part <Whichever part number you are joining>)
-Name
-Contact number
-Questions that you wanna ask(E.g Do i need to bring xxx?)
If i do not receive your PM within 1 day after you've signed up,i'll remove your name from the list and move the next person up.This is to prevent anyone from flying aeroplane...
If you've joined any of my outings before,you need not PM me again.
Here's an example of how to PM me:
PM title:Beginners Outing(Part 1)
PM message:
-Cleon
-9999-9999
-Do i need to bring xxx?
2)Please check the respective outing that you're joining frequently for updates.
3)COPY THE NAME LIST AND PUT YOUR NAME IF INTERESTED.Those who do not copy properly,please do not blame me or anyone else if your name is removed.
4)If you've signed up for this outing and cannot make it due to some reasons,pls inform me(cleonbus) by PM or SMS.Try not to post on the thread as i might miss it...
5)I know its hard but please DO NOT go OT.Anything NOT related to this outing,please do so in Kopitiam or Facebook...

Share your knowledge on photography to the beginner shooters and also have some lesson on the basics of handling a camera.Guides are also expected to review some photos taken by the beginner shooters and correct them and explain what is wrong...
Beginner shooter:
For those who had just started photography within the past couple of months and still feeling confused on the basic settings like shutter speed,apeture,ISO,etc.
Reserve list:
The outing is FULL already and you gotta wait for a slot to be empty(It means you CANNOT join in).Reserve list is NOT for those who will arrive late or who wants to shoot independently...

7)Ratio:
1 guide:8 beginner shooters
2 guides:16 beginner shooters
3/4 guides:16 beginner shooters
Some outings will have a smaller ratio due to space constrains
8)Most of our outings will have a backup plan in case of wet weather.So PLEASE SIGN UP ONLY IF YOU CAN MAKE IT RAIN OR SHINE!And do bring along your umbrella of course...
9)We've had a few cases of people cancelling their slots at the last minute and preventing others from attending.Here's a situation that happened during the Club St outing...
Due to the rain,some chose to stay at home and thus deprived those who were in the reserve list and wanted to come(Cos by the time these ppl inform me that they don't wanna come,it will be too late to inform those in the reserve list).
So next time if you love to sleep at home when its raining and not come for the outing,please do not waste each other's time by putting your name down.Next person who does that,i'll ban you from future outings...
This is to ensure that those in the reserve list will be able to come in case someone backs out.
10)Please do not PM me asking whether i'll consider adding another few slots.My answer will be NO!
11)To join our Facebook group,you need to participate in AT LEAST 1 Beginners Outing.
12)If you've joined previous Beginners Outing(s) and wanna join the Facebook group,request to join the FB group and send me(cleonbus)a PM with your FB name so that i can add you.
13)Benefits of joining the Facebook group?You get to know upcoming outings before its posted in CS and pre-booking of slots are allowed.
14)Details on how our outings goes:
-Sign up for the outing that you're interested in joining and PM me as mentioned in #1
-I will send out a SMS to all participants 3 days before the outing
-Those who do not reply within 1 day,i'll remove your name(24hrs is enough for you to reply to a SMS)
-I'll then send out a PM with details on the meet-up location to all 2 days before the outing.
-Those who do not turn up(fly aeroplane)will be banned from future outings
15)I(cleonbus)reserve the right to remove/ban/invite anyone from/to my outings WITHOUT notice.
16)I will update the list everyday.If your name is being removed,it means you have posted in the wrong section or you did not PM me(See #1)
17)In order not to confuse anyone,please put your ClubSNAP username when signing up.E.g:

Cleon, I found out that you have a talent.
Not in photography, but definitely in TOURISM, the way you organize your neat and tidy outings.
