Great....not only they get better discount and deals now Olympus also throw free camera as well for the market that don't care about all the good thing done by m4/3...is this mean we should buy our PEN in US if we want cheaper price and best deal?

Of course! Just buy from where you can get the best value and deal.

Just saw this on Olympus' FB:
$868? Expensive!!:o:o

Yah, still quite ex, but was expecting this kind of prices already. EP3 $1298, EPL3 $998, EPM1 a little bit cheaper only. Maybe EPL3 is most value-for-money then?

Wow, that is too expensive man, rather get a epl3 at that price. Hope the local street prices will be cheaper!

In US prices are $200 difference between each of the 3 models. Since over here it's $300 diff between E-P3 and E-PL3, I thought E-PM1 will be around $698.

At such a price I don't see E-PM1 selling well. Oh well.

i was also looking at around 700 buck price point.

Which will be compelling system for my wife to pick up photography

maybe they will give discount for EPM1 very quickly? RRP $868 then give $100-$200 discount at Sitex? hehe

hope the regular retailer can do their magic.

I suspect they may not be so keen since the higher performance compact are still commanding 600-700 bucks

i heard the camera will come out on sale on this thursday. The recommended price is:E-PM1: 14-42mm kit - $868. hope this will help! - information from Olympus Imaging Singapore FB page :sticktong

Anyone get this yet? :) Saw it at TKFoto, and Cathay Photo... both quoting around S$790-ish. Would be interested in reading people's opinions of it. :)

800 seems like not as worth as EPL3....

nowadays the trend is, the smaller the camera is, plus can change lens, the higher the price is .... bad for consumers ...

Maybe if less interest in this, they will drop price?

For a less-features camera, the price is abit high.

It actually steer me to relook at the Sony offering. Will make decision soon!

As predicted no sweet deal for EPM-1, looks like I keeping my EPL-1 a little longer,
or else look for second hand GF-1 + new 45 f1.8 instead.. :-)

yeah, was waiting eagerly for E-PM1 since its announcement with usa 499 price point.

Local price is really too high. Not very appealing for an entry pen.

Gotten a Nex5n for my wife instead. So far so good. Same crop factor as my pentax, easier to adapt lens.
For the jpeg, so far have not gotten used to the Sony OOC Jpeg though.... abit orangey tone.

There's a photography contest to win EPM1. Post a "Happy Moments" photo on Olympus FB to take part...

not much feature... spend abit more you get the EPL3 :)

So should go US buy huh? The price in US cheaper...
