unless one shoots everyday or professionally, best to get imedion, eneloop, recyko or similar.

i decided to buy LOTS of imedion. cos i never know when i need lotsa power. but i don't use it on a frequent basis so imedion for me. can store for long periods without losing too much charge.

Imedion is good I have changed all my batt to imedion. Get it from Eastgear

it seems that the eneloop is good at retaining the charges from charging for a long time comapred to the normal rechargeable batteries...
there have been many times that i charge a lot of batteries but some unused... but over a couple of days, the batteries discahrge themselves...

so if you forsee that you might "suddenly" go on a shoot and need batteries immediately, then go for eneloop....

what abt chargers for imedion batt? very exp wor.. btw OT abit which CF card is faster and ard how much are they? to be used on s5Pro sorry i dun use CF have been shooting with SD always

I don't shoot everyday but if I am going to shoot events, I want to load up with 2700mAh batteries and not 2100 only... :)

Get a good set of charger and it will last you a long time.

As for CF, Sandisk or Lexar's are pretty good. Stick to Ultra II and above and you'll do fine.

thnx guys. cant decide between eneloop and the power Ex. as for charger wise any brand wil do rite? btw how much does ultra II sells for and do i need a special reader for better speed?

my budget for CF is less than $50 plus for a 4GB mememory card. not sure if higher end ones will work on s5pro or not.. batteries i was thinking of powerEX.

You should be able to get the Sandisk Ultra II 4Gb for under that price at Sim Lim.

As for batteries, if you need more juice, go with PowerEx. If you tend to charge the batteries and leave them for months, then consider the Imedions.

if u do shoot events then i agree with ur reasoning. in fact i'd get the powerex if i were still shooting my flash batteries flat on a regular basis.

now i just use the batteries on the flash for less than 50 flashes, then remove them and deploy to wii remote, etc etc ;p

but even if i shot events, i'd have one or two sets of imedion. just in case. otherwise for the rest, powerex makes perfect sense

u mean hotter than other batt?

i dunno about that. but my "normal" sanyo 2700 holds the charge for ridiculously long periods. behaving like an eneloop or imedion instead:bsmilie:

not sure how much charge is retained. but i can use it, abandon it for 2 months, and there's still quite a bit of juice.

having said tt, i not buying anymore sanyo. traded in my worn batts for imedions liao. but still have 8x sanyo AA

not for kookoo bird like me. i will probably blow my flash :bsmilie:

anyway i only shot events for a few mth. and not on a daily basis. that was some time ago. now just a sedentary leisure photog :embrass:

the AA i have also for other uses, not just shooting. shooting alone dun justify the amount i spend on AAs

Yeah... they charge at high temps. and when operating, the temp is also pretty high
