is this a trick to expose all our ploys? i know many camera shop staffs surf CS too...

Normally, when i can't get any more direct monetary discount, i ask to throw in freebies. or i gather a few persons to buy in bulk or a few sets so that cost per set is lower. With more bargaining power. Just call it a mini-MO amongst friends of some sort.

hehehehe... easiest way... I ask my wife to do the talking.... :bsmilie: So salesman cannot play mind games on me...

Then I'll buy from the other shop and sell at the same cost to them lor. Tho' don't earn but just for the spite of it.

1. the shopowner is just showing attitude. doing so will be falling into his game. cos he can refuse to buy, as there is no contract for him to buy from me.
2. the time and effort to buy and sell to him at cost is not worth it.

there is only one way to deal with such shopowners...boycott.

BTW, the last time i tried this method was at Sitex 2005. hehehe...you guys should know which shop was running the nikon booth then. the boss was willing to match the price i was quoted elsewhere.

Guys don't do that. :bsmilie:
it depends on the seller. you never know if it'll work.
of course it'll depend on which direction you lean, and which item of clothing on you is low cut. :bsmilie:

Went to CP last time to buy some items. Was quoted $200 (for example), and all I did was to tell, "I called in an hour ago and one of your salesperson told me that the price is $150 (or any other amount)"....;p ;p

Best is do your research before purchasing, in SGP slightly tougher to bargain, but overseas, we Singaporeans can be bargain kings/queens...
