i'm not sure did i spoke to jason but certainly they got gd svc. i dnt expect them to serve me tea or anything but at least they were patient and talked nicely.

funny thing is tht they quoted me a lens and said no warranty where i got tht same price somewhere else with 1 yr warranty. so gd price or not, i not really sure :)

Quite good price for me :)

Tamron lens? If it's really a Tamron lens, then no such thing as 1 year warranty. Could be a in-house shop warranty. Local agent Jelcorp offer 3 years local warranty for all Tamron lens. There is a piece of warranty card in the box stating Jelcorp 3 years local warranty. No warranty card better ask properly.;p

Nearly, got chopped today by them today. Didn't came across this thread when I reading up.

Anyway, I did my due research knew roughly how much a tripod that I wanted costs, but they can still come up with more pattern to chop, quote price without GST, and round up prices before adding GST, take away included tripod bag and then say got no warranty?

Warranty also must chop? Wonder where they get the stocks from. Didn't buy from them in the end all the tricks were revealed.

SLR revolution give fixed no bullshit price. Not sure if it will be the same if an ang moh walks in though.

Try the shop opp J316. It's SLR Revolution. Ask for Jason. Great price and great service.

last nite i was bored. So went in there just to check the price. Inititally he quoted me 900. At the end he offered 550 when my fren called me to update the price guide :sweatsm:. although felt very guilty for walking out after the sale person showed me so many things, I still dare not get from them. Totally freaked out! Scared if i get then they will give me a grey set or sth. LOL.

Now I wonder if I have a stupid look :bsmilie:. Maybe I really do.

You all realised, of course, that SLR Revolution and Bally are one and the same.

Not sure about their exact relationship but when i bought my tamrac Velocity 8 from SLR Revo, the salesperson got it from Bally a few doors away. But who cares? Best price still wins. And don't get chopped.

Can you share where did you get this information? You know someone in Bally/SLR Revolution?

Funny thing is the warranty chop shows Bailey though receipt is theirs. not sure what relationship they have with them, but good svc nevertheless.

Is this "Bailey" or "Bally"?

I asked.
=================================================================

Later the reply was "Bally". I do not know of anyone in either of the two stores but I drew the conclusion from pieces of information gathered here in the various threads.

1. Someone mentioned seeing some Bally people at the SLR store during initial renovations.
2. The above piece of data and
3. What this thread infor has to offer regarding a relationship.

Could SLR have merely been "taking" goods on consignment from Bally to sell onwards? Yes, possibily. But I leave it to others to draw their own conclusions.

 so the truth is out.. :bsmilie:

its very normal for stores to share goods...

i always see sam from J3:16 walking around peninsular picking up goods from different shops. the smaller shops share stuff.

Not to labor the point further, perhaps we should ask whether Sam uses his own "John 3:16" chop on the warranty card or that of the shop he shared the goods from.

Not sure if it is different practice. Usually, the shop chops on the warranty card only after they sold the item. So, if the smaller shops are sharing stocks, they should leave the warranty card un-chopped until they sold it.

I once see him walking into Bally to take goods too. So does it mean that he is part of Bally?
I think at the end of it, if the shop provides to service and price that we want, y bother about who they get stocks from.. Esp if there is problem and we go back to agent and they can justify the warrenty and receipt valids.

Unless we got more money to spare to go to a shop and pay more and get lousy service jus cause they're not link to the hated shop...

if SLR gets their stock from Bally......that means....

Happen to chance on this thread. Ok went back to them to buy a filter, and asked them about this issue. They clarified that they just take the stock from Bally and not related to them. As others mentioned, I think its quite a common practice to take stock from other shops.

so Bally is SLR's supplier....this means....
