They tried to quote me 85 for a Hoya 58mm CPL(not the pro 1D one) when I tried it get it at a lower price since my friend was getting a 28mm 1.8 as well. After some haggling, he brought it down to 55. I eventually got it from TCW at 43:bsmilie:

I asked for a 3rd party battery.
The guy showed me some unknown brand with just the box, quoted me $59 then I was about to go out, he quickly say I give u best price - $40.
Sounds like a scam to me, I rather get mine online for like $24 phottix or $60 ebay for a OEM

as @ bally photo before, they quoted me 190 for an LPE6 battery which struck me dumfounded, got it from Parisilk evertually @ 130

In this case Bally was the only store that had stock of the lens at that point in time, and the price it was going at was reasonable. I tried to tompang a filter to see if I could get it at a lower price, but sadly no.
Every shop is worth going into to ask for prices. But just make sure you do your homework and don't buy something you haven't researched on. If you are tempted, buy the stuff you came for first, and just tell the seller you didn't bring enough money, go atm collect or something, and go to other shops to ask for price then buy.

I bought my Canon SX 10 IS from there - 680. (Sometime around last year.)
The rumored malaysian sales man sold it to me. I checked around, price was around there so no problem. He tried to sell me the canon bag for 30 bucks, I declined.

Recharger AA Batt + Charger
8 GB Mem Card
Plus some other stuff I cannot remember what is it.
But truth to be said, the service really fukked up. I went back Funan recently to get a PnS camera, but he tried the same 'baiting' tactic on me. From then on, I blacklist liao.

yap, they all have to give the "landlords" some face. landlords very powerful one
i'm not sure did i spoke to jason but certainly they got gd svc. i dnt expect them to serve me tea or anything but at least they were patient and talked nicely.
funny thing is tht they quoted me a lens and said no warranty where i got tht same price somewhere else with 1 yr warranty. so gd price or not, i not really sure
