burboy, many thanks for appreciating our photos. I say this on behalf of every one of my wonderful team members!i enjoyed these sets of pictures.
Been going to bali very often for a short break
What attracted me to this thread is not just the photo but also the travelogue.
Some of the photos had captured the beauty of Bali perfectly including the culture plus the sights and at times, I can imagine the sounds.
What I really enjoyed most is the capturing of the group having fun, so well that i feel that I was there with the group and going through what they experience.
Well done guys.
In years to come, I am sure these photos will always bring a smile to your face. Memories immortalised in the photos.
thanks limwhow
i plan to travel there, so these routes do come in handy for my trip planning
yeah Palasari really too far, just realise negara is that far too (interested becoz of mekepung - water buffalo race)
Thank you very much, lestwe4get!All the comments on the photos/travelogues have been already documented and I need not say more! However, I must say that I am drawn and attracted by the warmness, fun and joy depicted all over. Thank you for the sharing and pleasures.
Agree with you, rickymartin. Many different emotions were captured and it is what makes such trips so beautiful.
This is what it means by a group of people who share the same passion gather together.
AIYOH!
You are So Lucky!
She is indeed a most pretty specimen of the Balinese homo sapien.
The way she closes her eyes and lifts up her hands in prayer....
My, you do have an eye for pretty young things, don't you, Adrian?
EDIT: To my horror, I just discovered - BUT she is already taken!!! Look at the ring on her left ring finger!
Hi B-setting, thank you for your compliment!:bsmilie:fantastic bokeh, this one!![]()
My contribution of Uluwatu other than the monkeys....Please pardon the PP ;p

I am leaving for Bali soon. Can advise what lens would be useful to bring?
I am leaving for Bali soon. Can advise what lens would be useful to bring?
Dear shelomoh,
I am visiting Bali in early Nov for 5 days and yet to determine my iternary. There're too many places to see. Able to share what're the places you are visiting?
Dear All
I would like to know what lens to bring for the trip? I am using a D90 and bringing 18-105mm kit lens + a WUA len (nikon 10-24mm?) + nd110(sun rise/set) + tripod. WUA len will be on loan.
Do i need a external flash?
Thanks
Great set of Bali,
I'll be there by end of OCT. hopefully there is not much rain by then... HA.
I am leaving this week actually.
This is my current plan actually but not confirmed yet. As I am first time there, so need all your precious advise.
I am using D300 (cropped sensor), still deciding to rent another FF body or not. The lens I plan to bring are:
- Tokina 11-16 f/2.8
- Nikon 17-55 f/2.8
- Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR2
I have the 18-200 VR but ... it's versatile but that's all about it. Since it's a trip to take photos, I am not bringing it. I have a French professional photographer friend who once told me, to bring your best/relevant equipment because some places, you might not get to go again. So you won't feel regretful afterward if there is a shot you know you just got to take but can't because you left some equipment at home.
I do have primes like 30mm, 50mm and 85mm and 10.5mm Fisheye. But I am not bringing all of them.
Laptop - I always bring them. Important for reviewing photos at night in the hotel.Accessories include:
- GND filter
- ND4 filter
- CPL filter
- Wireless/wired remote trigger
- Poncho
- Charger
- Extra CF
- Extra batt.
- Portable photo storage
- Laptop ?????? (haven't decide yet)
- Tripod
- SB900 ?????? (do I need this???)
- Flash trigger/umbrella/diffuser/... (only if I am bringing external flash)

- Jimbaran Beach (sea culture and beach) > 11-16, GND, ND4, tripod should be enough.
