Bag to bring to overseas trip

This one your credit card BILLLLLLLLLLLL is gonna be

but it is a very nice bag. especially when it starts looking as beaten up as mine!

hrm, i just checked out CS price guides.. the domke f3-x seems cheaper here as well at 80 pounds versus $200+ at CP....

Thanks all for your inputs, really appreciate it :)

I quite like domke but i just checked cathay photo and the price is

Think its a little over budget for me, on the other hand, i realised there is this brand called "Safrotto".. seems like they made the design similar to domke.

Anyone know where can i get it?

The rest are too boyish, i will prefer something looks rugged, like domke ;)

Oh ya, billingham! Its really nice, but well.. the price is also

anyway, i saw at challenger funan, a few pieces of vanguard that looks like billingham, the design and colour..

Get a billingham!

Billingham Hadley Pro cost $380~ according to this old thread..

I guess can get at a cheaper rate for now? Cause the exchange rate is kinda good now?

1 GBP = 2.25355 SGD (From EX.com)

Hadley Pro is priced at £130.43 before 17.5% tax.

so probably, maybe now can get at a cheaper price? :dunno:

and then i will get whack by my mum.. :bsmilie:

tell her it cost $50

jokes aside, billingham really looks good, it doesn't make any zip/velcro irritating noise that the usual brands will give you.

it is super rain resistant, i kid you not. i always walk around in the rain and the inside stays 100% dry.

in terms of durability.... after dumping it on beach, after putting it on swamp-like ground, after carrying it everywhere and putting it on dirty floors anywhere.... everything's holding up fine. the bag looks a bit more beaten up and emo 2 years later. there *is* a little rip in the top layer of material due to wear and tear, i think mainly because i always cross sling AND overload it (think stuffing k100d IR + kit lens, k20d + 10-20, 70-300 + 50 f/1.4 + 28mm into that little bag).... i'll be fair and say that it's not superwonderful and for some it will not be worth the price, but you should definitely think about it.

nope......

hadley pro used to be about 100 pounds 2 years back when the pound was strong @ close to 3.

when the pound crashed to lower levels, i don't think the price in singapore changed. ;) topman and topshop didn't seem to become cheaper either.

I see I see, thank for the info :)
Guess the only way to buy it at such a price, would be to have a friend who is going there and help to buy it ;)

yeah... otherwise shipping, even if merchants are willing to do it (which they aren't), will kill you, make it less worthwhile.

i think the bag shoulder pads are way cheaper here as well.

i can't really help out with any billingham purchases if i return in march, need to lug my books.... but if anyone thinks that the shoulder pads are worth their time, just let me know... they won't take up much space anyways. pentaxians only please, or friends who know me who see this.

jun/jul if i have space i'll let you guys know. highly unlikely though, having headaches as it is already. :) the only time i brought a billingham back for someone, i nearly exploded my kata backpack because the counter made me lighten my luggage.. so had to stuff books into it. :bsmilie:

oh, and if any of you DO have a friend coming to london.. sometimes the period they are there is too short to ensure delivery to hotel/hostel, etc.

you can let me know way in advance, i can ship to my current address, hold it, and pass it to them. :)

safrotto, this thread says camera workshop @ penin

you can read more about it here:

anyways, nothing wrong with using lowepro really, it is just personal preference. i just dislike the fact that it is overcushioned, and screams "camera bag".. but if you think about it, once you take out the camera, big deal at pretending that it's not after that. :bsmilie:

ok can see this? neoprene pouch for camera and 2 of these one your belt and you are ready to go anywhere easily

tamrac-lens-case-pro100.gif

where can i get this?
thanks
