i think it happens on both side...for my case some one offer to buy my FZ20, but as i was busy with work, i did not recieve the message till sometime later. by that time the buyer say that i should have reply his message. So i apologise and explain to him..he subsequent say want to deal..then till now also never contact me..i drop him private message he also never see..somemore the date of the deal has been fixed before hand...
I think both should make the effort to make the deal works.
If seller is too busy with work currently, then he shouldnt have post for the item for sale until the schedule allows it.
If a potential buyer wants to buy, he should work out take some time irregardless of how busy he/she is. If potential buyer really cannot make it (e.g. overseas), then he can PM the buyer before making a bid to see if the seller can accomodate.
At least no effort is wasted in the transition.

I got this experience b4. A buyer call richard look convincing enough to purchase 2 lenses from me. A 70-200 f2.8 IS and 24-70 f2.8 at $4900. But my warranty was not chop at the time so i decided to bering back to my dealer to chop the warranty. He say that he dont trust me regarding tis so he say he will give me 4500 and the rest 400 will pay me upon delivery of the warranty back to him. I agreed since he drove green or blue bmw so must be some rich guy. Never did i expect to drop the warranty cards for all my buyers which include his!
So i decided to return $200 for the refund but he still own me $200 in balance. When told him i lost the card, that is the last time i heard from him. He dont even want to hear my call and msg him a couple of time but never return call. He is a thai/chinese! I really learn a good lesson!

i was involved sometime back with a seller, Te*****. he was selling his AFS12-24 f4 and i had a bid which was accepted by him and a date was set.
on that day i called him, only for him to tell me he's taking it down from sales and keeping it. so i said fine, if he change his mind, let me know. the next thing i know, he sold it to some other CSer who probably offered higher. i'm cool if he said he'll be selling to someone else who offered higher. but don't give me a run-around and pretend that it does't happen.
had a good laugh when he commented on someone else's B/S sounding so righteous!

Becareful lor! Some are out to make fun. But there are really good buyers and sellers as well. I have meet many good buyers and only 1-2 bad buyers lah. Overall are easygoing photographers! :thumbsup:
