wahhh... thought i was the only one being played out by people here..... there is this person ch******_ye* here who was selling a MB-D100... arranged date and timing... to suit the timing, changed my appointment, last minute, say will only be back by midnight, said deal next week. then saturday morning, sms me say deal on sat, and ask him on timing, and he say cannot confirm, nvm, i say next week then.

On sunday, he sms again, say deal on sun, i said ok. told me bukit gombak at 3, i ok. changed all my appointments and rush here and there so that I can get this over and done with. Too bad, last minute said cannot make it, delay to 5, but i really rushing for other appointment so i said 4.45pm latest, and he ok. and he changed location to kranji. made me travel all the way down to kranji from gombak and the best thing, he never appeared. sms me back after many calls and sms say he shooting (at 5), so cannot meet me. I told him that he shd be more professional :thumbsd: :thumbsd: :thumbsd: but apparantly he did not bother. after that he says next week. I have sent him at least 10 sms to date since then, and countless calls, and he does not even have the courage to pick up or reply. :thumbsd: :thumbsd: to him.

Totally unprofessional, should have replied even if he does not feel like selling anymore. We should have a rating system here like yahoo to rate these people. Decided not to bother or lose sleep over it anymore. =)

Maybe Darren can create a sub-section under BS called "Transcation Feedback" where we can highlight the GBUs (Good, Bad and Ugly) in CS!

Becareful lor! Some are out to make fun. But there are really good buyers and sellers as well. I have meet many good buyers and only 1-2 bad buyers lah. Overall are easygoing photographers!

Oh well, maybe it was really a blessing in disguist! :dunno:

Didn't expect someone holding pro body to be so unpro

On the silver lining...you didn't surrender him your hard earned $$$....god knows what happened to the cam before since he is so irresponsible :dunno:

A SMS cost S$0.05. A PM cost S$0. That's all it takes to improve the communications between buyer and seller.

some people just dun care.
its unethical not to inform but now and again people just do that.
or maybe they cannot face the thought of having to tell u they sold it to someone else.
who knows..

i've experienced it before.. but not cameras....

something else..

and also for them to change number cost at least $20.let's bomb them!

I think something more constructive would be to have a feedback system... bombing them does not solve the problem for people who is not aware and might possibly trade with these people and encounter bad experiences. More importantly, the purpose is to forewarn others... that's why i shared my experience (though I left out the name, but if you encountered a similar nick, just be careful not be taken for a ride like I was   ).

hmm, I thought that was the practice ma... always post first few alphabets then **** :bsmilie: I did feel like putting the full nick out but the way I have posted should be enough for identification should the nick appeared. Thank God that the rest of the people whom I had dealt with in the forum had been pleasantly smooth and professional :) :)

Well to help those like me who have totally no idea who you're talking abt, maybe can post the full nick? hehe

Well, there are some implications when posting online, especially revealing the full nick of the person. I have seen someone I know get threatened to be sued for slander because he revealed a full name and cursed someone on the net. So be careful with such issues... ;)

Thanks for highlighting this. As far as the internet in concerned, I am aware not to reveal any personal/previllaged info openly. Under Dirtbiker's profile, there was a link to his pbase account. On the pbase account, he put his name as such. For all I know, that might not be his real name even.

I was posting the facts from a unbias point, just to share with fellow CSers.

unbiased??? you are kidding surely...

If you're concerned about the defamation point of view, you either post NOTHING or you post the full nick. If you post half of it, as long as there are people who know who you are talking about (after all, thats the reason why you are posting half as a clue right), you'd be liable anyway, so if what you're saying is true, accurate, and not exaggerated, then there's no diff between posting half and posting full.

Yap, Erm, not stool, i think its a two-steps ladder. They even had a pic of his back with his D100 + battery grip + brackets + flash. woo...

I believe that one has been cleared up and he does have a valid reason for doing so.

to me he doenst seems lik unpro or wat.. mayb i was buying a cheap stuff?
mayb he hav his own reason ba..

ehhh... will I get into trouble if I say yes :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

anyway, you got my PM on this already :p

Someone else here who PMed me had got a bad experience with the seller before also. Looked like I am not the only one

I stand by what I have said, and the intent of the original post is to alert. Definitely, I feel that my experience was lacking in professionalism from his end. I do not intend to pursue, (since I lost nothing except for time, transportation costs, a few appointments, costs of SMSes and calls) because had I decided otherwise, I would have crashed into his thread in B&S with my story already.
