i am always amazed by the fact that people want to inspect filters so much... it is just a filter, you will use it, it will get scratched. as long as it screws on tight, doesn't have scratches, who cares about uneven ring, wah biang.
only reason why you would want a pristine condition is if you are a collector, that's the only defense i could think of. then glory to you, please have fun collecting filters in your dry cabinet.
.
I will agree not to inspect filters if Henessy allow a 7 days return policy, its a consumer rights. Check with CASE.
Want cheap, want green, want big big...
Want good service & expect people to treat you like a big boss, pay a much higher price and go to shop like john 316 lor.:bsmilie:
In General (since someone talks about lens and camera), if no inspection of goods is permitted, I guess most people will only consider buying it if there is warranty or an exchange policy. Unless you are buying things from a factory outlet with a huge discount knowing there are some defects to the merchandise.
I have heard of people going to Canon CSC and immediately being offered a 1 to 1 exchange when the newly bought camera has Manufacturing Defects (This is to say no or proper inspection was done but covered by warranty). I trust that no one would buy something with no warranty, no exchange policy and no inspection.
As I have mentioned in my earlier post, I do not have high expectation from a service provider from Fu Lu Shoa, I have also mentioned that grumbling starts when I was viewing the first filter (I can accept that and I even ask for another filter as I have intention to buy 2 and was not satisfied with first discoloration), the person grab a handful of filters and threw it on the table (it seems to be reasonable and acceptable for some of the people who commented in the thread!:think.
The situation could have been well managed and contained (show sympathy instead of saying will limit inspection in the thread) when it was being feedback to the seller. I am just only sharing my experience . Thats all![]()
Many had said earlier in the thread, and I say it again now, let it go lah.
Yes, you had suffered bad service and your dignity or your ego might be wrongly hurt or abused, even when it was not your fault and you did nothing to deserve this. Yes, you deserved better, no matter what how cheap you are paying because you are the customer.
And perhaps you are just hoping to seek some empathy and understanding from the forum (although its obvious you are getting very little)
But this is the real world, there is no perfect life. Everyday minute and second another innocent person suffer a much greater injustice than you, somewhere else in the world, innocent people get killed, had their houses burned down, whole family massacred in some civil war, looking back at our sheltered Singaporean problems we are really fortunate.
Have a bit of kindness, live and let live, and your life will be happier. Close your thread and let the incident pass lah. My heartfelt advise to you.
i can pretty much conclude something from these posts...
- you buy something... you dun check and its defective, its your fault for not checking.
- you buy something and you took the trouble to check. you are picking needle in haystack just becoz the price is competitive.
- you give heads up about your bad experience in buying things with competitive price, you are immature, making a big hoo-haa out of something this trival, expecting too much just becoz the person didn't have any product knowledge and the owner wasn't apologetic for your whole bad experience.
All in all.. next time buy something cheap... see, pay and go... if the goods you bought is defective... hide in a corner with your defective goods and cry, blame it on your family members, blame it on god and blame your miserable life. Period.
1. When someone chose to buy a "Bargain price" brand new filter, it doesnt mean he has to accept discoloured or defective filters.
Agree?
2. Even though it is sold at "Bargain price", it does not forfeit his rights to check the product before paying. Unless the sale clearly states as "Used" or "Defectives at bargain price".
Agree?
3. Doesnt mean you pay "bargain price", you should be subjected to bad service.
Agree?
4. TS checked and found the first filter to be slightly defective with uneven rims. It was reasonable for him to ask for a second piece.
Agree?
5. Next time your parents did a disservice to someone, you do not have to try to resolve the issue and can just rub off with "What to do?"
Agree? No?
TS, I support you. Some people in this world do not mind to throw away their dignity for some cost savings. You have highlighted a valid case. Thank you.
if there's return policy in Singapore, it's gonna be badly abused
