Back from Hong Kong


Hi Guys

You guys talking about the lenses and flash are cheap in HKG how about the body itself? Is it cheaper also in HKG? Anyone know what the price of 7D in HKG?
 

Im going to HK in 2 weeks :D
but I think I dont need to buy anything at the moment. :) Instead, I think I wanna check out vintage cameras (such as mamiya rb67) any recommendation for a shop to vist? Thanks in advance
 

Hello pingkee82. Can I check where exactly did u get ur tamron 17-50 f2.8 vc, I mean which shop.
I had just recieve my camera, feel so excited.
Can I check for ur tamron lense did u manage to get a international warranty?
I will be gng over to HK this month end, hence thinking of getting that lens.

I will try to found out the HK price once I have settle down. BTW, how much is the SG price?
 

Hi guys, sorry to hijack ur thread, but dont really know where to post my questions. Bascially i'm gg to HK this november/Dec, but as the weather is cold still possible to bring my Canon 500d along? besides that instead of brining my camera bag along, can i get those "ziplock pouches" instead? many thanks!!!!
 

You don't have to worry about HK cold weather. It never gets below 4-5 degree C.
 

so i can just point n shoot? n walk ard with my camera ?? i dont really want to bring a camera bag, or can i ziplock my camera and put inside my bag?
 

HK weather isn't that cold.

I took my 50D with me to beijing and it hit as cold as -11degC but there was no problem whatsoever. I didn't bother to put it any ziplock bag as well.

Only problem you'll face with cold weather is shorter battery life so pick up one or 2 3rd party batts and you'll be fine

was quoted $330+-

so you are there now, i will there on 18th July, only one night, planned to get few lenses.

my sis is going to hk next month, just to ask if i ask her to buy any lenses or anything back, will it be tax at the singapore airport?

i think if dont keep box, put the lenses in camera bag would be safe. you'd reminded me something....
