I have to say, im not a pro in my opinion. So if you want to get the best images for ur events etc. Go get a pro to do the job for you. They need to eat too. The most i can do is a backup photographer.

Agree agree. This is worst than undercutting. Its KILLING the market!

My_anata_des: there are so many outings sessions here. to kill time, you may want to join them. may be you can get some excellent shots for competition. many company get their own ppl to double up to cover company events for free liao.

Freelancers are already facing these type of "competition". Don't think any of them welcome another competitor like this.

Welcome you to join as an assistance and eventually be on your own as a pro.

Yah, or at least quote a token sum instead of free lor.
Or you can ask those who are more pro to bring u along when they have assignments as back-up.

Then you get to learn and have experience and it wont be free to the consumers. Unless if u do for frens, then ok lah.

I think its alrite too. In fact, I want to to do the same as well and like him, I am not a pro.

Strictly speaking for myself, shooting for free offers a chance to learn (of cos, dun mind shooting with a pro as backup or as apprentice) and to accummulate a good experience and portfolio in the process.

Quite frankly, I dun feel that any pro should feel intimidated by newbie/amateur like me. Any right minded person would rather pay for quality when results are important. Since we are shooting for free, we can't be held liable, although a best effort will still be put in.
