I went to ask at Alan Photo SLQ, they said the price about $4200 but no stock.
When I replied "orh" .... he suddenly mentioned : "... the price will drop some more .. "

Tempted to get a set from Malaysia due to the advantagous SIN to Ringgit exchange rate. Will NSC in Singapore rectify the out of focus issue on a Malaysian set?

dont think so since there is no International Warranty. Malaysia is Malaysia, SG is SG.

Was just back from BKK, D800 selling for 99.9k THB which roughly equates to S$3950 based on XE.net exchange rate. This was from a Nikon flyer featured at a few camera shops. This is before VAT refund etc.

Also saw 1 set of D800 at Gain City, Changi City Point this afternoon.

Looks like I got the only set of d800e from Ritz. 4.6k local set. Can probably get cheaper overseas, but no local warranty, air tickets and possibly tax... so, 4.6 Is still an ok-good price for me.

Edit : You folks can trust Roy. I put my deposit, and he kept his promise. (Someone offered +$100 and he turned down that offer)

I just put my name down 1-2 weeks ago and he followed the list. Waiting time is short. Price is quite ok, no deposit somemore.

It was nice dealing with Roy too.
