i want to thank this forum for helping me find the shop that can give me the d800 at very reasonable price. 4066 at audiohouse. gst included.

The best thing to do for those who really want this camera is to have a price in mind (within reason, not some lowball price), go to a few shops and ask around then make a pre-order with the one you feel fits your budget best. That way, when the stocks arrive you will get the call and can just pop down to make payment. Relying on this thread alone won't help much because the information isn't real time. Someone has already gotten from shop XXX and is merely posting that they got it at shop XXX. By the time u see that post, there could have been a number of customers who have walked in to buy it or someone else has seen that post and made a reservation before you.

i think best way to secure is if you give deposit.

Just wait for few more weeks, once stock stabilize than every shop will give discounted price than there will be fierce competition in pricing, for now almost every shop is selling at srp
