I called up Nikon to check they said it's limited availability and they won't tell me how much each store will get. Alan Photo told me they are getting a grand total of 1 set today and it's been reserved before hand.

Nikon Singapore must be thinking that users here are very naive and desperate, no matter how you compute it will not be S$4488. US$3000 SRP convert to S$3,810 (high fx rate of 1.27) plus gst 7%=S$4077.

So the question is how desperate are we?

I doubt so, cos by now they are all sold. There are ppl willing to pay to be early adopter and enjoy the boasting rights to be the first to have this cam.

BTW, I do not intend to have it so fast ... just wait awhile, no need to have to be the first ...
