I hope like you guys that my source is wrong because I am and have been waiting for a very loooong time for this.

Wait a while lar... the Canon party just started...... leave March for Canon..... next month Nikon turn to pop champagne....

Hi,
More expensive cameras usually have higher prices in Thailand compared with Singapore and Hong Kong. It's also hard to find any with a warranty valid outside the country. A place to start is "Foto File co., Ltd" at the first floor in MBC shopping mall.
I was not able to post links here, sorry (www*fotofile.net/contact.php?br=ff also prices at the site). They also have a special shop with many new and old Leica cameras. There is other shops inside MBK. Also try inside Fortune Town: www*durianseed.com/thailand/bangkok/shopping/shopping_centers/ratchada_pisek/fortune-town-mall/

Rejoice !!! Everybody !!!!!

2 more days only !!!

Statement from Nikon:

So now you all believe me when I told you all that it was 22nd March?

: /

does this apply in Singapore as well?

I was told by my sources that 22nd March is the release date but he too being very 'careful'.

There is a few factor which may affect the release date.

Custom Release
Logistic coordination
Availability of the stock.

Last check, was the first stock will be around 2000 sets.
How many of them are D800, I dont know.

I try to get more info.

I am like waiting until my neck very long already ....

BTW,

Singapore wasn't given top priority ...

I do not want to elaborate further .... could be because of the demand here.

;(

I asked one shop about the availability of the cam they say april-may...

Singapore must always be 1st in everything.

Please ! This time ..... Let us not be the last one !!!

Confirm we wont be the last..... let see, will likely will get it before some African countries, some Middle East countries, some Asia countires.... so wont be last... but confirm wont be first....

Went to parisilk they say might only out 2/3 week of april... Haiz...

First in line to come out first should be D4. Then d800 if I am correct. But seem like D4 is not out yet.. Hmmm.. Let's be a bit patience on this.

**** happens .. and that would be the case if its released in April .. nude without a camera .. as I already sold my nikon D80 and hoping to buy it early aril .. my thailand trip would be really really bald ..

Something interesting. TK Foto throws out an interest list for ppl to register their interest in the 3 hot cameras. D800, D800E & 5Dmk3.
They say they will also import any previous customers that ask for the camera into the list...

Hmmm.... it makes me wonder what's the real objective of this exercise... I'm guessing I'll be getting more junk mail...

I am more interested of the price... If the cam is over priced here in sg, i might get d700 instead
