Just got mine 1 week ago from TK. The EV direction of + -, indicator can be set but the direction of rotation is different from D3S. I wish that the memory card cover is better. AF-ON button should be bigger I hope. THe display on top is more D7000 like than D3 like. Button has a bit more tactile feel with is good. Metering knob very tight, so I programmed the Fn button to be spot metering. Like the new Auto ISO. Videos good. Love how the DX crop mode look in viewfinder instead of masking out like the D3, good for composition. Wish to have that D3 super hard glass on the LCD (no need protector), hate the protector. WB2 is clever. Metering is clever.
Singapore has GST, higher salary for the sales and service, higher rental feel for the retail and service center. Surely the operation cost is higher and the price would be higher.

Checkex with AH few days agoâ¦was surprised to hear that there is still Q for D800/E.
And E is longer than norm??! Price still stood at 4066 & 4388 for E.
For the E is still worthwhile, while the D800 is not, as it had dropped below 3800 in some shops.
Quite a surprise as they are the cheapest in town than, but not anymoreâ¦just trying my luckâ¦lolâ¦!!

Was in town to pick up some stuff , the D800E Stock has arrived at People's Audio @ people's park .
Indicative price is slightly below $4,400 . Hope it help some bros/sis who is looking for one.
If D800 can drop to S$3750 (which is same as the price quoted at B&H Photo USD3000*1.25), I don't see why D800E should stay at S$4.4k. It should be around S$4,125.
oic..i didn't know..next time i will only share price from only those shop listed here...but like this not really open discussion leh...i am also waiting for price of D800E to drop...that shop quoted me...but i told them price no big deal bec so many in forum already say $4400..and i did a walkaround..i can also find $4400 easily
actually based on $3800 for D800..i already feel the E should be $4150...hehe...but no one want to sell at this price..so i LL continue to wait lor..it's not that i cannot afford 4400 or 4998...but just relatively...i don't think it should be this price...so don't pay lor
sharing price information is not an issue, even it is not our advertisers or is oversea brick and mortar /online stores.
eg "I bought D800 for $xxxx from xxx store yesterday." "xxx store quoted me $xxxx for D800 last week"
but this member is advertising for a particular sale person from a particular camera store in a few threads repeatingly.
