Availability of D800E in Singapore

I m in Bangkok n at Central World they quote me a D800E for ??? I divide the amount by 25 and got 32xx n this is before VAT.

Yes...only Thailand local warranty. Nikon Malaysia sets are better if u want to get overseas sets, at least sending it to Nikon Malaysia service center (if needed) is nearer..

But at 3.2K w/o warranty is still very worth the price.

I doubt u can get that price elsewhere.

Already at 3800 in some places....

Yes, 3750 refers to price for local set (inclusive of gst).

200 doesn't save a lot considering D800/E has known issue like left focusing. The servicing and repairs in one year can easily surpass 200. Which is why I didn't get in Bangkok.

I was talking about D800. There is a USD300 premium for D800E. So if you add that to S$3750 , it should be around S$4125 (as mentioned in my earlier post.)

Hi All,

will prepare more cash this time. last week was $4280 incl gst.

Well, you can just go to a retail branch of your bank and get the 4k there or go to the bank on two successive days. :-)

I just get D800E from audio house,$4259 any payment, cash payment -2%,I pay by installment,no more stock, but they still have D800,$3890 any payment, last pcs at store,If you pay by cash, can get -2% of any product,FYI

Finally bought mine at SLRR. Price still 4280 cash. their CF cards not cheap. went walk around in sim lim sq. save $70. Haha
Their 24-70 lens still best price. $2650. TK quote 2680. I guess they will sell body cheaper but sell accessories expensive to cover back. I also got pricing for Zeiss zf2. Can I post here to share?

I got my 24mm-70mm last week at JB with international warranty for only SG$2, 350. I save $300 sing and Nikon Singapore will take in to repair if have any problem.

congrats!!! more of us should buy from msia....will help to drive Nikon sg to align the high prices closer to what countries in this region are selling at

Always good to know if a cheaper source. I usually get my lenses from HK too. Love the international warranty.

Funny right? Cheaper n international warranty. Sg more ex n local warranty only. Ironic. Haha

The Nikon lenses sold by authorized dealers of Nikon will enjoy international warranty. This includes lenses sold by authorized dealers of Nikon Singapore.

Yes...i guess a lot of us Singaporeans have been living under the urban myth (til now) that sg electronics are among the cheapest globally and it's "safer" to buy local than overseas... when I tell my friends/relatives I buy electronics and equipment from Japan, HK, China, Bangkok, Taiwan...they seem to have doubts whether "safe or not"

True to some extend but it's only cheaper across the causeway mostly due to slightly lower business costs & addl 7% GST in SG but the saving is insignificant compared to the petrol saving across the causeway. It's a matter of how much inconvenience u wish to undertake in case of faulty stuff n the Lemon Law...

Latest: someone is selling 800E for $3100 now at B&S cos biz going south...buy if u dare
