Availability of D800E in Singapore

Care to share where you ingested the poison?

Am looking for the poison on the left with a E variant, the slightly more potent one. Thks.

Congratulations on your new purchases. Just to make sure I saw it right: $4,888/- for a D800 (no 'E' variant ). Did they throw in any extras?

Thanks zoom3, it's a great camera I have a d800 as well.

As well? Wow! I was also offered both but decided to take just the D800 :)

May I ask what you going to do with two?

I got the 800 on 25 March also @ RRP.
it's just a hobby I started long time back had many rangefinder and twin lens reflex cameras before the Nikon F. I travel and do quite a lot of trekking and yes I plan to carry both, have been carrying a D700 and a D300s on my trips.

I see. A back-up body but with a slight variation for specific purposes. This is great set up for your purpose.

BTW, now I understand your nick name. My wife is always telling me why I walk so slow, so I guess I can be the Very Slow Trekker :bsmilie:

Hi, just to ask, does D800e has a focusing issue like what the rest mentioned if the D800?

Thanks

I don't seem to have any focussing problem with both the D800 or D800E but this is tested with the 17-35 and 14-24 set at any focal length unless I am testing it wrongly anyone care to share.

There is for D800E similar issue to D800 from what i can see, if you are using 24 f1.4G, left focus point - result is soft compared to both centre and right for the same subject which are dead accurate. Strangely, no issue if you are using Live View to take the same shot - left, centre and right, all in-focus. So it is not a lens issue... Not sure if it is a HW issue or a firmware fix can settle this. Repeat the same test with 24 f1.4 on D3s - no issues, in fact tack sharp. Will do some more test with other lenses before I call Nikon SG.
