Aurora Borealis

can share with me how u take the shot ? it is so nice ! Kindly teach me *shy*
Did you drive in Ireland ? is yes , was it easy ? I am planning a 4-5 days trip in late feb.
You could apply the long exposure technique with care on the actual environment and Aurora’s light intensity. Apply a longer exposure if you wish to have a Northern light's trial to beautify your photos when the Northern light is quite “faint” in deep darkness.
Have a good time.

Sharing a photo of my first encounter with Aurora; I felt it was Majestic and Gigantic
It was also a great experience for me to capture this Northern Light.:)

really Majestic. I was unlucky 2 weeks ago when I was in iceland for 3 nights. 1st night, clear skies but minimal activity. 2nd night rain. 3rd night little to no activity again although clear skies.

Oh I see.. Can share me your settings for this marvelous picture?;)

I could empathize with your disappointment. I was blessed with some great Aurora during my stay at Iceland after some disappointment on the first few days. Hope you would have another chance to view it.

Droozy.. I used high ISO range from 800-1200, mostly F2.8-F4 and exposure time really depends much on the Aurora's "Strength" and also how you want it to be like on your photos (some like it as it is and some want it to look dreamy with longer exposure when the strength is weak). Hope this helps.. cheers
This pix is F2.8, 13sec, Iso 800
