Thanks to Poseur & Pinholecam for organising session with training on the lighting. Hands-on workshop gives really better experience.

Here are some of my photos using Nikon D90 with New sigma Art 35mm F1.4.

Handling FA50mm f1.4 under bright sunlight, even in the shade, at f1.4, is not easy to tame.

I started off with shots at f6.3 1/125, shots was reasonable with back ground of buildings
_IGP1856.jpg

Then wanted the bokeh, so go to f1.6 1/400, got better bokeh , yeah ! could see later that gold reflector on Sharon's face
_IGP1858.jpg

Then change the angle of shoot and f2.5 1/160, over exposed shot ! part of background was water surface
_IGP1864.jpg

Then bro Felix try to figure out what's wrong with my camera/lens settings, so shot in Av mode f1.4 1/6000, with water surface as part background
_IGP1876.jpg

Then bro Doyle also join the investigation to see what is going on ! f1.4 1/2500

Thanks Felix and Doyle, anyone else have any comments how to tame the FA50mm f1.4 in such situation ?

When the poisons become unbearable, I heard that Pentax first made FA43 ? is it correct ? then made FA31 and FA77.
DA*200 is clearly sharper ! Have you pay up ? Haha !

Model is in shade and bkgnd is in the open.
The exposure difference is too big (called exposure latitude)
You expose for one, the other gets blown or too dark.

To lessen the exposure difference, you can use the reflector to get light to the model.
