Dear ESPN

I don understand what issues you have with Dolphin and her efforts to organise an all female photographers outing. THe thread started reasonably well and you have to start this "I am a gal and I love shopping too" nonsense. It might be funny the first time but the joke has sunk deeper than the Titanic by the third time.

Even though this is kopitiam forum and you can post banal, do remember you are one of the seniors in the forums. Kindly refrain from going banal at every single chance. Have you even noticed that the ladies have not posted since.

I had the pleasure of meeting Dolphin and she is a nice lady. Perhaps she would like to conduct her photo outing arrangements as Larry suggested or via PM

Isn't it obvious? The reason why espn is so interested in this thread and even went to the extent of causing a make-believe that "he's" female is because he wants to check out all the chio female photographers in CS! Buaya!!! :blah:

:vhappy: charbors, me Sentosa, Sungei Buloh , anywhere oso can .... so where hah..... :D

I would personally prefer Sentosa cos it's more easily accessible. Sungei Buloh is a great place, but may be out of the way for those without transport.

yeah, I agree!

Thank u Larry, Sebastian and Togu!! ;)

Hi Dolphin! and all the gals here...

Im on with this all gals gathering! Sound Coolz....keep me informed! PM me..we shall make it happen!

Anywhere, anytime, any type of photography..macro, nature, night....You name it!

:blah: to those who try to make a fun of this thread booooooooooooo...

"This place no walking required. Only small baby steps.

You can get the following :
a) Grey Heron
b) Little Heron
c) Variety of KingFishers
d) Small coastal birds
e) Sunrise
f) Sea Eagle.

Best thing of all - No Mosquitoes (or at least not that scary as Sungei Buloh !!)"

I'm a simple P&S digicam user - am I able to take such photos as mentioned above?? *hoping against hope*

And for the ladies outing, I think it's a swell idea. Am quite keen to be kept in the loop on this. :D

Hi Dolphin,

So what's the verdict? Shall we make it next weekend (29 Nov)? We can have Sentosa as the tentative venue, but subjected to changes of course! Most impt is to agree on a date first, to see if the majority are available.

Yippee! I'm so excited. I usually shoot alone, have never been out in a group. :vhappy:

I'm Ok wif 29 Nov. ;)

have fun ladies. May the light be wonderful and the weather cooperative. Show us the fruits of your labours later. :D

Was wondering if the ladies should meet up at SEED (3rd dec) first before planning an outing, since you hardly know each other. Perhaps you can get a ladies table at SEED and then from there can discuss when and where to go for the photography outing.....this way, you can get to know each other before taking the plunge to go on an outing!!!! This is just a suggestion.... ;)

That sounds fine too. Will you be at SEED swimcraze? I'm very new to CS & have never attended any of their gatherings. Don't wanna look like an idiot when everybody knows everybody else. Shy lah... :embrass:

Sentosa is a good choice, but hope you gals dun mind if I throw in another suggestion. (I'm a guy btw) :sweatsm: How about organizing an outing to the Botanic Gardens? Its quite accessible, and there's no shortage of subjects to take, be it of nature, landscapes, closeups of plants, flowers etc. You get a good opportunity to stretch your legs, and lots of nice fresh air to breathe in too! :) (I sound like a publicist for BG lol) :bsmilie:

Dun worry lar...sometimes there's a "Newbie's Table" at SEED (usually hosted by Larry, one of our CS mods) where all the first timers gather and everyone can get a proper introduction. Not sure if there's one for the next SEED, but still...come come dun shy!! There's always a first time for everyone. Most of the CS pple I know are a really friendly bunch. ;)

woah... ok i would organise one if there's really demand for it, but i think i'm definitely not qualified to host a all-ladies-only newbie table. last time i checked i was still a guy... and i'm quite sure i'll be beaten up by masked CSers with their monopods and tripods if i try something like that. :D

i've a suggestion - let one of our more prominent lady photographers *koff lavenderlitz koff* host this ladies-only gathering at SEED, with my full support (in spirit only, but if our ah jie lavenderlitz complain, i will come see who disturbing the peace).

how's that sound? ;)
