Hi, not to argue, but when I mentioned I wanted to do 1 4R print, you informed me with : "We don't do single prints" (paraphrased). This shocked me because I read the first post that mentioned - "1 - 10 prints - 45c".

I can accept the printer offline for whatever reasons it's ok since there's always downtime involved, what I can't accept was the misinformation that "don't do one prints" and just "printer offline".

As regards to attire, it's just me. It gave me the feeling of being a neighbourhood shop, something I dread because I had bad experience with neighbourhood shops so I only go for professional labs now.

As for test prints, I don't believe in doing it for free, I never had that thought, I prefer to pay to see what sort of images would come out.

Please understand that my expectations was very high as you were a pro lab. However, the shop's furniture design, lack of aircon ( :p ), "no 1-print" and attire put me off by quite a bit.

No doubts they know a lot, I'm just airing my depression because I thought they don't do 1 prints as Darren has mentioned in the first post. If I'm that petty, I won't have gone back to KT even though I've met with mishaps there myself.

You know where I stay, Macpherson is nearer than KT or BM to me, not to mention I work only across the busy macpherson road. A trip to KT/BM and back is 1 hour 45mins. To Aspario, it's only 20mins, which I'd prefer? Was just dissppointed with the "no 1-print" told to me.

However, image (both prints & lab) does matter to gain attraction, that's what I was looking out for, guess I'm too high in expectations.

Anyway to "guy in berms & tees", I've misunderstood the intentions, my apologies, I've however, made my way to BM/KT to do my prints already.

Cheers.

I stay at Joo Seng, near Macpherson & and Potong Pasir. Probably will cycle there to develope few 8R pic to try. Will let all your know on the photo quality.

Right, did a daring move to go down again today. Sent in 100 prints, but somehow total is 103, maybe I wrote my copy script wrongly and it copied 3 files extra to print, but no harm done.

Sent in the CD, asked for no correction. Waiting time was quoted about 2.5 hours time. Sent in around 12pm+ and collected it at 3pm-.

Colours & contrast came out exactly as what I see on my screens. I was also informed that they use Eye-One for calibration also. So for Eye-One users as long as your screens are calibrated properly, you can safely send in and ask for no correction.

On top of the price they quoted, there's still a 15% discount for CS members, so think as long as I'm working around here, 'tis more convenient for me to go there and do my color prints.

My only complain is still - no aircon :p

Just printed 600+ 4R prints. Friendly service, excellent prints and great price.

Price was 25 cents per print with a 15% discount. (more than 300 prints)
Fuji Crystal Archive Supreme Paper.

Highly recommended!

did a search on the address, its infact very near to my work place..

10 min walk..

will go there try try sometime..

may I know what is
1) your price with correction for 4R?
2) what is your operating hours?
3) how much to write to CD after correction? ( with print and w/o prints )
For item 3) I sometimes need the lab to do the correction for me first before I bring it back to my studio to do collage before printing into S8R/10R.

Hi espn, please kindly correct me if I m wrong here. If there is no correction is required for the prints, does it matter what software or how the labs calibrate their monitor. Ain't they just print from the file given?:dunno:

To arspario_pro_labs:
Also, the pricing listed here is only for "no correction" right? If we didn't mention anything when we hand our files to the couter staff, will we be charged extra if they did some corrections to our prints?

Greetings,

Any commonly used media is acceptable, as such we accept images via thumbdrives as well.

The offer on the 1st post is valid.

Greetings,

Our staff will not do manual corrections on the images unless specified by the customer.

Typically there are 2 forms of color and density correction we perform upon request;

1) Auto-Correction via Fujifilm Digital Imaging, whereby the Scene correction mode is set on STANDARD and applied to all images.

2) Manual-Correction, whereby perceptual correction with the appropriate Scene Correction mode is applied to each individual image.

Please feel free to contact me at 9734 7228 should you have further queries on our charges and services.

Best regards,

Kiwi

Been there before to print some works which I'm more particular about, in essence only have good things to say about the lab.

Pricing might be a little higher than some other labs but you pay for what you get seriously!

Oh yes, and their black and white prints are really nice... i won't send my B&W's anywhere else...

Finally, I sent my bulk (>300) to Arspario and got it back in 1hr time.

Worth the effort there and the price wise is  !

Up for Arspario Professional Labs Printing Services.

i agreed... sms him now and got his reply less than 10 min later..

a nice guy... even do a test print for me using my poorly taken picture.

but he adjust it and turn ok good...

I went ther last week and printed some holiday photos.
The service is OK but the prints are not too good. It look like the early days of digital printing where the skin tone have this grey tone over it and look fake. Even my wife who's not into photography said it's not very good.
BTW, the images were shot with a D70 and sent to them straight out of camera on a CD without any adjustment. I've imformed them to do the adjustment for me.

Care to post your original soft copy and a scanned copy for comparison? I might due to your setting in your camera. What's the resolution you were shooting at? For 4R, minimum 1200 x 1800 is required. If your photos' reso is lower than that? You need a digital artist instead of the printer to correct the prints. :)

I've gone back to KT for prints already  Sometimes, loyalty pays :D

I know, aspario is nearer to me too, but I'd rather spend that 1hr 45 mins travelling to and fro KT. :) More worth the effort IMHO :)
