I am not sure if those players are the answer. I think the attitude of the current players are not in the right place; if they get back the 'never say die' attitude; who knows how high we can go?;)

We lost alot of experience and 'heart' over the last 2 seasons; PV4, RP7, DB10, SC23, Edu, Lauren, Wiltord?? .. these are the players who had the Arsenal spirit. The current crop of youngsters still need to learn that. Not sure if those players are the answer.

A Ronaldhino could be fun ;p

Found this clip from gooner site; Jose Mourihno gets boo-ed on RAW!

ya man... the younger players look proud and complacent and definitely don't look like they have the heart nor the will to attempt to take control of games which they are losing... unlike the team of old where PV4, Pires, Ljungberg (the younger battling version), campbell etc all try to...

Gallas is right that Arsenal needs to buy experience

RIght now, i even think A.Cole has some truth in his autobiography that some young arsenal players are too smug to listen to advice... and looking around the squad, i kinda think i know who he's talking about.. sendoros comes to mind.. hoyte wears the badge on his heart.. Fab? maybe.. Adebayor - well, he looks the kind

I think as much as the players are grateful to AW, they are wrong to connect their futures to him.. what if AW retires? They have to pledge their allegience to the club but be grateful to the manager by all means...

maybe tomorrow morning when i wake up and check the soccer news, the headlines will scream in bold capital letters ARSENAL SIGNS RIBERY... BABEL AND TORRES TO FOLLOW..

every morning i will check and check and check... and hope fades... and when hope fades, i hope to wake up and when i check the soccer news, the headlines will scream in bold capital letters ARSENAL SIGNS RIBERY... BABEL AND TORRES TO FOLLOW..

Same here.... no news on their budget meeting last week... no news means bad news..

Dun think arsenal gona sign any players

read on tribalfootball that AW has 40m transfer budget... but he said he will only touch it if he feels the need to and right now, he doesnt... in fact, he wants mass clearout of 11 players... maybe i go trial for arsenal..

Arsenal trying to beat spurs and manu to sign Gareth Bale

I still think AW should sign Ronaldinho. :P

He'll be our new DB10, but with buck teeth. :D

Com'on Gunners ! :D
<Imitating somebody>

Yeah. Normal service is resumed. Com'on Gunners! :D

I think Arsenal don't have much cash to spend in the silly season. So all those 40mil transfer kitty stories are just.... stories.

Tores, E'to coming? Don't bet on it. AW doesn't splash the cash even if he had it.

10 years in the helm, he prefers to sell to generate cash but doesn't spend on estb 'stars' coz he rather groom them from the youth team (in Arsenal and in other team's youth teams).

One think I am sure; Arsenal won't become another Leeds coz AW thinks about the bottomline and is not a cheque book manager

So Gooners, sit back and relax, don't get too worked up over the rumours

I'm resigned to not having any new signings this summer... what's new? maybe even henry might fly off to barca.. then again, what's to expect?

/cast envious glances at Man U's Owen, Nani and Anderson signings... so soon after the lge ended..

Hey we all know Arsenal got no money to spend for the time being.

But I went to the Emirates stadium while I was in London afew months back and its magnificent! :D

As long as we don't too far behind we can catch up when most of the debt is cleared... the future is bright! <-- I gotta wear shades

I wouldnt even say no money to spend for the time being.. it's no money to spend for this decade or maybe half of the next... the debt arising from the Emirates (no one calls it Ashburton Grove anymore?) will take its toll the moment Arsenal loses champs lge qualification and the last 2 seasons, the gunners have been flirting dangerously on this.

With Spurs (and maybe Newcastle / Everton) improving by leaps and bounds, the reality of losing champs lge qualification is very real... which will of course followed by an exodus of players such as Fab4, RvP, TH14 (if he's still ard) etc..

Not only that, AW doesnt look comfortable in securing his long term future and unless the Arsenal board do something drastic, Arsenal could spiral downwards the moment AW leaves or we lose champ lge qualification, whichever comes first..

Somehow, maybe selling to a foreign investor and bringing David Dein back may rejuvenate the gunners.. and perhaps inject transfer cash but then again, AW may not use it... stubborn manager...

I have no access to Arsenal FC financial records so my opinions are as good as the next guy.

But I still think that the debt is well managed and Arsenal board was not reckless in our spending for the new stadium. I mean Leeds was a very good example and it happened so recently.

AW knows money would be tight for the next few years (not more than 10 pls!). Base on financial report by Deloitte; Arsenal is 3rd highest in terms of wages paid in the EPL.

So letting go of some of the high wage earners (Freddy, TH) might give AW some options in the transfer mkt.

But Arsenal have been buying them in young; how much would Fab4 cost now if he is available in the mkt?

Well the stadium cost about 300m and u guys got a 10 year deal with Emerites worth 100m. So that leaves 200m to finance plus interest. Divide by 10 years, per year will be 20m plus interest. So the 10 years estimate is quite reasonable. Right?

LATEST NEWS!

ARSENAL are close to signing Auxerre right-back Bakari Sagna for £6million.
Sagna, recently voted France’s best player in his position by his fellow players, was in the national squad for the first time for Saturday’s Euro 2008 qualifying win over Ukraine.

Finally, it's actually about players coming in and not leaving the club....

well...thats some good news amidst the henry going rumours... :bsmilie:

i think they do need a right back... eboue is right something but definitely not right BACK. The other option Hoyte is like so 'shy boy' that if i were the opponent's left wing, i'd probably just walk past him with the boy..

U submit application form, i also want.. attached passport photo somemore.. haha

CS got CS soccer team or not?

think wenger likes training them youngsters for new positions, when henry was a youngster, he trained him to be a striker when he was originally a winger/midfielder.

yah CS should have weekend warrior sessions...i think last time have...but its gone? :bsmilie:

:( I think we are in the minority leh if got soccer team..

All sure wear Man-Ure or Liverfool jeersissy :sticktong

Wenger likes to train youngsters and sell them :(

6 million for a right back... omg

they should top up a few million more for a winger

like this...then quality counts liao...let the feet do the talking....hehe :sweatsm:

Wah!! See so many gooners here

Yes AW likes to dig for rough diamonds and I think he considers signing estb players as a form of 'cheating'.

Thats why seldom see AW sign any 28-32 year olds. (I can only think of Davor Suker)

I hope AW sells TH14 so we can make Gilberto full time captain. :D

Don't think Kronke taking over Arsenal would be a good thing as the club dun need additional debt to service.
