Jemaine Pennant - I wouldnt want him to be at Arsenal. He had talent, but mixed with the wrong "friends" and his altitude became wrong. He was caught drunk driving and had to wear an electronic tag/tracker on his leg - even when he played in Birmingham. AW is right to let him go, it'll be an awful sight to see an Arsenal player playing with a tag on.

D.Bentley - Played well; wished he was still at Arsenal. He showed some skills and talent (hat-trick against manu). He was touted as the next "Bergkamp". Maybe that got to his head and he wouldn't want to wait anymore and went elsewhere to get more playing chances. Still to early to say if D.Bentley is the "one that got away". Why is he not in England team. (which has a sucky midfield?)

Striker which AW would buy? Would love to see E'to but so far AW always pull some player outta nowhere which isn't on anyone's list (Hleb, Rosicky).

Tonite Arsenal play Portsmouth and Liverpool play Charlton (who is relegated). Third spot is up for grabs and I hope Arsenal finishes third. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think 3rd place avoids playing in the CL play-offs?

Wenger says season has been his worst.. AW puts his hand up and says he's to blame. But I feel that TH14 should also be up for some self-criticism. Compared to Tony Adams, Patrick Viera and Gilberto; he is the WORST Arsenal captain in recent memory. Go to Barca Henry.

As I was saying; I hope Gunners finish the season strongly and pip Liverpool to 3rd. ;p

Think all Premiership matches are on Sunday evening, 10pm kick off. Would be great to finish above Liverpool and just lay this season to rest and hope we can mount a serious challenge next season.

As TH as captain, I have never been happy with a forward being captain as I don't think you can play in that role as captain. You need a strong defender or midfielder to be the one motivating and organising team, as they can see everyone ahead of them. However, Toure or Senderos don't really fit the bill so I guess it will continue to be Henry.

As TH as captain, I have never been happy with a forward being captain as I don't think you can play in that role as captain. My gripe with TH as captain is not becoz he is a striker, its more of his attitude.

He will never be the 'blood and guts' type of captain like Adams or J.Terry. He's a pussycat that wants everyone to love him. During the home game against Westham, while waiting to lead the team out on the pitch, TH was all smiles, laufs and small talk, he even borrowed and drank from the same bottle as Reo-coker or is it Zamora? This was broadcasted 'live'. WTF!

Thats just wrong! :angry:

Face it, TH is a prima donna that just wants everyone to like him. And thats not good news if your team wants to Champions.

I really hope AW sells TH; Arsenal can't play "TH football" anymore becoz there's no Bergy, no PV4, no Pires and the major fact is TH can't make those sprints anymore.

I appreciate the contributions TH made in the past, but he doesnt have my support anymore coz his attitude is wrong both as captain and as player.

I like arsenal becuz they dun play negative football. So different now from that team during GG era... back then u see georgie always instruct 11 man back to protect a 1-0 slim goal line margin. It was boring arsenal boring boring.If one day liverpool play attracting football i will be a kop fan too.

One thing i dun understd is why ppl so adamant in supporting teams that play boring football.... Always play long high ball. Maybe it's hip ? Or the hype surrounding a team with a glorious past and history, or maybe they just want to be associated with a popular team.

Arsenal style of football is quick one touch direct football. They are really a promising team that plays neat attacking football, once they managed to impose their style on their opponent, u be memerised. :heart:

Btw, i dun just watch arsenal games only, I watch other matches too. I find its a pain watching liverpoo play sometimes... During micheal owen time... pump long ball to him and he chase and try outrun defenders. Now pump high ball for crouch to head... :thumbsd: Hey, anyway I not a anti-kops... I stayed and watch the entire CL 2 years ago til the end while my friend who called himself a hardcore kops fan left the pub during half -time along with many of the "hardcore" fans too. U call them fans or followers ?

I think they need a holding midfielder, someone of lampard's calibre. Sure, Fibreglass is good, but too small and not too strong for bigger opponents to contend with. They need someone who is big and can hold the ball.
