I have been using Luigi half case on my M6...it's for protecting it from scratches and dings, it also provides good grip.
The only thing is that i find that the leather is kinda hard and after a while it does not fit as well around the edges.
(it folds just a little at the top)
It also adds to the bulk to the body as the leather is thicker than say A & A.
I have tried A & A at the shop, and love it as the leather is softer and thinner, and it grips the body like a second skin.
The feel of the leather is also much more luxurious.
The price difference btwn Luigi and A & A is not much and i would get an A & A the next time.

I am using the whole set of Voigtlander stuff. From camera to strap, and I am loving it. Already have it for 3 years and have taken it out almost every weekend and trips. It is a faithful shooter, and I am completely comfortable with it. If only Voigtlander makes more of those half cases.

Orient photo sells AA case too. Its actually cheaper there than at De Camera Consultant (for the LMB-M9 case)

Does Orient Photo carry an A&A case for the Zeiss Ikon?
There's isn't a A&A case for the Zeiss Ikon in the very first place, correct me if i'm wrong!

I have a Zhou case for my Bessa R4M. I used it for a few months and find that it adds bulk to my camera. No doubt the quality of the case is there (I'm not comparing to more expensive alternatives!), but the bulkiness soon gets to me. Now the case is sitting on my table seeing more daylight than the camera does. Naked is the way to go!
hehe valid point about the bulk. I guess the trade-off for more protection and better grip works for me.
Or it could be because i'm moving from a larger camera (also with half-case!).

I am using a custom-made Aki-Asahi half case for my M2. I love it to bits. Top-notch quality. Fitting is superb. The only thing missing is engraving of his name.

I use the Leica one. Protects the body and muffles the sound of the shutter, so why not?
Used the Zhou case previously but it always leaves a mark on the body so I switched. The Leica is more handsome too.

I am new here, just wanted to know if using a case could keep camera warmer and therefore extend battery life of the camera on m8/m9.
