JnK Case Review - Oil Wine Color

Ordered one via email with Sejun Kim. Though his webbie is in Korean, he responds fast to email queries and orders. Ordered mine with an additional slot for the M-grip and the thumbs-up accessories. The case is cut to accommodate the Leica 1.4X magnifier.

The bottom support plate is likely to be made from plastic. Overall feel of leather is nice and slim. Breaks in nicely, and look forward to a darker shade of brown once the leather ages. Only thing is, I ordered a similar colored strap to go with the h-case, but it felt a bit thin, so left my A&A strap on.

The straps are now used on my X1. (placed on the box posted over by Sejun Kim)

Started with Luigi case with build-in handle for my M8 since coming from dslr which has build-in handle. But do not like the fact the the LCD cut-out does not sit squarely on LCD. Changed to Luxecase from Korea which has a great fit and still using it for M8.
A&A case for M7 and M6J.
A&A silk strap for all cameras.

I personally use a Zhou case for my Bessa. A bit tight yes, but I kind of like the rigidity. Ought to be able to take a few knocks and provide some cushioning for the camera.

I've tried using half cases on my Nikon RF cameras, but they make the camera too thick for my liking. So I sold them, and just go naked now :bsmilie:

If you seek a half-case that is thinner than Zhou, try the Arnuvo half-case (Chiif got sell). I like it very much. When got time, I post pics

i tried many half cases, ranging from luigi, a&a, zhou, etc, but have moved away from using them.

while they do offer additional grip (nice to also add the tumbsup), protection, and adds additional options to accessorize your rf... at the end of the day, i found the additional step of removing the case before taking out the film / SD card more trouble than the benefits it afforded to me, and the halfcases also adds bulk to the camera outfit.

the feel of the "naked" camera also has a nice feel to it - the metallic curves and texture of the leatherette. with good shooting technique, you can shoot a "naked" camera without compromising on the benefits of the various accessories.

but all that been said, my favourite amongst the halfcases was the a&a case for the m6/7/mp, as it hugged the camera very snuggly.

wow, thx for all the response. have been very informative. can i also asked those who prefer to use a case if you guys prefer it to be with or without the additional protruding grip that comes along with some of the cases?

originally thot I will need the grip when I first started, so got the Luigi one with build-in handle (like dslr grip), not the one with a little protrusion. When I switched to Luxecase without any grip, I find that I have no problem at all.

Hey you should see the ciesta half case and straps stocked up by chiif. The cases are for M8/m9 only but the straps are deadly

Hi Sharps, its thin enuff for a nice feel.

I think zhou would be more for value for money kinda thing compared to the other brands on the market.

Totally agree w RWC, definitely best bang for buck.

Sometime yes...sometime no...depending on the RF use...

M9 - 80% Yes...Luigi case...use the case to prevent the LCD from getting oily from my nose, as I shoot with left eye
MP3 - No...love the naked feel of the beautiful curve and texture
M6TTL BP ICS - No...let it brass and wear...:devil:
M6TTL BP LHSA - Too minty to not to use case...so Yes...A&A
M5 - Yes...Zhou case with hand strap
M4 - Yes...Too minty not to use case...so Yes...A&A
M3 - 50%/50%...love the naked feel
M2 - Yes...Too minty not to use case...so Yes...A&A or Arnuvo

As for LTM rangefinders...just love it naked...:bsmilie:
