Are you HAPPY?

Bonus down and then CPF medisave, sc/cc, transport fares and property tax up, how to be happy? Unless I strike 2.2m next year on Jan, only happy a bit cause still got to pay n pay after that. :(

To pay is business transaction. It has nothing to do with happiness!

Yes. I am happy. So thankful for everything!

Can't hlep but notice that most of those who claim they are unhappy... is mostly to do with 'Money'...

Money is a tool. Some think of it as everything..... but having lots of money is not equal to happiness.

Some become slaves to money so sure not happy..

Are The World’s Happiest Countries In Latin America?

From the link:
The poll shows that higher income levels and more stability do not necessarily equate to greater well-being.

This maybe the reason why I'm happy ;)

While I'll be the 1st to said I can't do without $$$$... I kind of agree that alot of 'Unhappiness' in S'porean are largely due to this never ending need to get more money...

NOW, don't get me wrong... its not cheap to live in S'pore.. Housing and cost of living (food, transport, utilities) are high.... and yet S'porean still want a ridiculously expensive CAR, high end electronic or luxury goods or long holidays to exotic places (I'm guilty of this  ). I'm not sure is this trying to keep up with "The Jones" that is keeping us unhappy ?? This endless rat race to get everything we 'think' we need (or don't really need), wants and desire...

We all need money to survive but too much price hike and diminishing real wages plus inflation is making things worse....

Mass media is doing well.... creating demand, make people desire and have wants, and increasing sales... but not so good for the people. ....

The world is never fair or "right". U determine your destiny. U decide your fate. U choose your liking be money or something money cannot buy.

As long as you feel happy, you are happy. Most of the time momentarily, so.....??????

There is little doubt the 'confusion'or how each choose to prioritize between wants & needs is whats causing most unhappiness..

Having Wants is gd because it means you have goals and work for it. But the problem is when you become a slave to it.

The trouble with ppl is that their priority are always right but otherwise. So how to prioritize?
