Eh , until tmr why not just ore-order and kiap the $100 voucher too ?

Probably good to buy from the shops a few months down the road when demand stabilizes.

i suppose available coz only handful of pre order collected at slrr.

Almost ran out to buy the e-p5 yesterday.. Took a cold shower and decided to just hold on to the em5 for its successor. Whew

Went with my friend to check out the ep-5 yesterday.

Even though I am not a m43 user, the latest pen is to me the best interpretation of a modern digital rangefinder so far. It doesn't try too hard to be retro and sacrifice ergonomics and looks friendly enough to not draw attention when shooting.

Coupled with compact lenses and the best evf to date. I seldom praise cameras, but this is a no brainier if you are looking at getting into a serious m43 setup. :)

And yep, my friend also agreed and bought the ep-5. Now I also have GAS lol.

Collected my EP5 at Cathay today. Free 32G card. Redeemed the hood and used my $100 voucher to buy another battery.

For those who are still thinking of whether to buy this camera, I advise you not to test this camera at the shop. If you are thinking if whether to replace your OMD with this camera, I advise to sell your OMD first before you head for the shop. Remember to bring your credit card or you will need to make another urgent trip home to get it.

Why? Because you will buy it once you lay your hands on it. This combination is the last word on M43 system. Period.

For us that preordered, they'll give us a call to go down and collect? I applied to pick up at HN Jurong Point. No calls yet.

Just collected my pre-ordered special edition EP5 from Olympus Service Centre Singapore.

Went down earlier to sort out my E Club registration issue and casually asked about the estimated arrival for the pre-ordered EP5.

The customer service rep kindly presented me with my EP5 from the storeroom behind and i managed to claim both the lens hood and the additional battery with the $100 voucher.

Both batteries are charging now and can't wait to take it out for a spin! :)

You should get a call by now. Cathay called me last week once they receive news from Olympus that the camera will be delivered the following day. You should also get a 16G card and a casing.

Called up HN Jurong Point - apparently some have picked up already but they are calling up in order of preorders. So I guess need to wait awhile - hope to get it before my trip to Japan next week *fingers crossed*

Why not just tell them all other shops had collected the pre-order ? Put pressure back to them. you will still need some time to familiarize with the camera, so get it earlier the better...

i have registered my EP5 and Olympus 17mm F1.8, however i am not able to register the VF4, the dropdown box only have VF2 and VF3.
am i the only one having this problem.

Unfortunately for me, similar to tanchankai who preordered and opted HN Jurong Point for collection, i have not yet received my item because:

1. I pre-ordered last minute on 30 June 2013 afternoon after much consideration
2. Chose Best Denki Parkway Parade for collection despite knowing that M S Color, SLRR, Alan Photo, Cathay might have ready stocks, because:
a. Wanted to regulate cash flow and considering of credit card instalment plans, which most small shops are not keen of
b. smaller shops offering cheaper prices, but some took away the pen suit case, which i think i may still have some use for
c. Best Denki Parkway Parade is on my way home from work

So for collection:
1. i went Best Denki yesterday to check if they have stock for collection but unfortunately no.
2. So I emailed Olympus to check but did not receive any reply
3. Called Best Denki again today to check but they say they haven't receive anything from Olympus on my order
4. Emailed Olympus again today to follow-up
5. 2 staffs from Olympus gave me 2 calls in the afternoon (should be from their call centre) to tell me that it is delivered to Parkway Parade already and i should be receiving a call from Best Denki
6. Called Best Denki again but they still say nothing, despite me telling them that Olympus told me it was delivered. Asked them to ask Olympus and gave them my order number
7. Just received another call from Olympus around 530pm, this time for a different number (maybe not the call centre and seems like is someone who is higher up). She told me now no stock and i have to wait till at least mid July before i can collect, or even 3rd week of July, but definitely within July. Checked with her that i know some shops already have available stock for walk-in customer but she said that walk-in won't get the $100 voucher which is the promotion for pre-order. She will let me know once they deliver it to Best Denki.

So now i just have to wait... Guess i can't blame anyone but my own hesistance, last minute order with instalment in mind... now can't even choose to walk-in with cheaper-than-pre-order-price without $100 voucher and instalment... haha...

I just hope to get it before my overseas trip in two weeks time. Hopefully can get some favourable response from Olympus soon -_-;;

Can always order from Japan amazon if you are travelling there. Use the convenient store pickup.

Waiting for my set to arrive from Japan :-P
