Anything Zeiss....

Just got back from a 2 week trip to the North Island, New Zealand. Although, I mainly used my R lenses, but on several occasions, when I need to shoot at 16mm, I used the CZ 16-35mm ZA. Here is an example from the geothermal park in Rotorua. Although, it was an overcast day, the lens was able to capture the full range of tones. The orange colour came out very well after some post processing.

No, need a special adapter that can manual focus, adapter connects to a pin behind the lens that drives the focus on lens...

Edited; Here's a shot of cam and lens.

Nice. I have been on the fence on this one for a very long time. Decided to stick with Canon cos I cannot handle longer focal length without IS. So this is one lens that I will forever be salivating after. Show us some outdoor samples.

Shot sequentially @ 200mm but exif reading as 197mm.....

Nice. There are beginning to have more interests on these Contax G lenses. However, I am a slow adoptor. I cannot switch to mirrorless until there is a usable OVF/EVF to aid manual focusing.

Sharing a couple of shots, taken with 2 of my favourite Zeiss lenses, the ZF 35/2 and 28/2. Both shot with NEX5. Love the rendition and brilliance of these optics -- can't get that from most other lenses, including Leica.

The high contrast and bold colours may not work so well in some situations, but for the kind of pictures I take, they are perfect!

Interesting that you have 2 lenses of FL so close. Between the 2, which do you use more often?
