Anyone wants to share some 1L plastic bottles?

Hey, guys, I have been sourcing for bottles to rebottle the E6 chemicals into smaller bottles, for easier storage and to minimizing oxidation. I've found these 1 litre white bottles that are very compact and nice:

I've placed it next to a Nalgene bottle to give you a sense of proportion. The problem is that they come in batches of 84, which is clearly more than I need. Any of you would like to pick up some for your own darkroom use? It's $1.50 each!

I can keep about 10-20 of them, so I'm hoping you some of you may want some to split the rest with me. Drop me a PM or leave a note here!

Thanks,
ls

Sorry if i sound stupid but are these air-tight?

Well, it looks to me it is as air tight as those 5 litre detergent bottles, in the sense that if you turn the bottle around, liquid is not going to flow out, and no smell is going to emit from the bottle.

Hi Losheng,

I'll take 15 bottles, this bottle looks definitely better than Giant house brand drinks bottles that I'm using.
Please let me know when to collect.

Rgds. /Sonny.

You could just buy "Meiji" brand milk at approx $2+++ per liter and recycle the bottles ?

Believe me, you have no idea how many bottles of Meiji milk I have been dunking, just to get enough bottles to hold the current lot of b/w chemicals :)

But to get another 10-20 bottles, that's a helluva milk to drink! :-) Also, the Meiji bottles aren't of very high quality - they get stained pretty badly. The E6 Color Developer Part B smells nasty, feels nasty, so it's probably very nasty. I' wonder if it will melt the Meiji bottles down. On the other hand, these HDPE bottles look pretty solid, seems to be even better than the ones the Ilford chemicals come in. Granted, these bottles are expensive, so I looked up on Alibaba, and found that you can get them at a fraction of the price - but you'll need to order a few thousand pieces at a time, and then to factor the transport and storage cost for the lot!

Well, I guess that's why they ended up at 1.50 a piece!

Thanks, Sonny, once I've gathered enough orders, I'll go ahead and purchase the lot. The Giant ones you brought along weren't too convincing, honestly :-) I was a little worried if they will react with the chemicals :-)

i take 10 bottles. end of the world coming, need to stock up on water and rice and tin food :)

losheng, i will take 10 also.
i sure i can find other uses for them. look like u can place order soon.

Hey, thanks, guys! I'll go ahead and place the order, and let you guys know once I've pick the bottles up. There are still more leftovers than what I need - so if anyone else wants some, just leave a note or pm me! Thanks, guys!

Hi, guys, so the bottles have arrived! They are now at my office at Middle Road. Please drop me a note when you are planning to come by to pick the bottles up! Thanks!

I would still have a few more to spare - so anyone else want some, just shout!

Hey, guys, thanks for helping me out - all the bottles have been taken up. In fact, so much so that I'm a little bit short myself, and can do with a few more. Leave me a note if you still want some - if there are enough demand, I'll go ahead and get another batch. Cheers!
