Anyone still doing or interested in Large Format?

Dang! Camera came today and am disappointed its a 2X3 and not a 4X5 (as mentioned by seller).
Oh well, technically not a LF afterall, haha, but i need a 2X3 anyway so if anyone has a 2X3 "graflex" type holder (tough call, i know), do let me know.

otherwise evilbay is getting my money..:(

Just gave it a good clean up, mirror and gg was covered in dust, can see better now.
Well, it is a 80 years old camera after all, and i appreciate its primitive engineering.

Ooh 8x10 looks so rewarding and technically challenging. Shame I live in Thailand otherwise i'd be in on yr meeting. Nice thread DM.

My stupid delivery only reaches shore on the 6th of August. And I still need a whole lot of others before I can even start :/

I am not sure if you can contact the seller for refund since he sold you the wrong thing compared to what it was mentioned. I have a 2x3 RH8 roll film holder, not sure if it can fit your camera (which i bought wrongly from ebay as well :embrass:). If you are coming down this sunday (tomorrow) 1pm at cityhall MRT to join us to see LF slides taken last week, I can bring the holder along and let you try to see if it fits. Give me a PM if you are coming.

Haha, starvingjack selling on BnS already :S

Need Tripod, Lens, And Cut Film Holders and I'm ready to go. And I need to cut my black t-shirt as well for a dark cloth.

Today very poisonous. Let's get together for another shoot sometime soon (and Yoricko can show off his new baby too)!

sorry to interupt this thread..i'm always interested to learn large format but how do u guys be sure processing is up to the professional standard? What device to use for the scanning process??...:dunno:

Still lack a Tripod!
Maybe I should get a duopod instead... it might be cheaper.

Welcome to the discussion and thanks for asking about the standard of service now still available through the usual color lab. There are signs of change for the better considering past events that look promising.

Here are some questions for everyone to ponder over:

1. How mass collaboration can change almost every economic situation and indeed everything?

2. How people can underestimate the power of organised efforts is not a surprise?

3. The future of organised collaboration and creative large format activities starts from sharing to cooperation to collective action.

4. Do you know that collective action requires shared vision?

5. Have you been considering getting the group together more often for the group to take collective action and be active in its future activities? ;):)

----------------------------------------------------------
Having some shared vision strong enough to bind
the group together is vital.
We almost at will need you to lead us.

Don't worry Yoricko, just borrow mine... aha, me got extra.
You just got to come and get it.

More important than worrying about
a tripod is that Aesthetics drive artistic
decisions. :)

LF poision is hard core! Never see photo for one week also the potency of the virus flows strongly in everyone's veins! :bsmilie:

Let's do a small shoot next Saturday. Will post up another thread. Any preferences or can I suggest something a little different?

Welcome to a poisonous virus unlike any other! :bsmilie:

Andy, come on over man! Now budget flights cheap cheap!

Komodo, as far as I know, LF B&W still best to DIY. LF trans we send to Fotohub. So far so good! Not sure if anyone does LF C-41. Scanning also best to DIY. Do tell us a bit about yourself and visit the above links when you have a moment (or many, many moments :bsmilie:). They are infinitely helpful for anyone interested in LF.

Hope this helps a bit.

CHEERS!

Dare to voice out the challenge?

The ability to voice out our need is unique quality
The forum site admin should have given thoughts
of having another sub forum catering to LF.

Looks like there is a need for such looking at
the activities being organised. Have given my opinions
in the "Feedback" subforum.

:);)

Posted at Feedback section.

So, where is your place?

And about the tripod screw, is it the universal one or the MF bigger one? :3?
