Anyone still doing or interested in Large Format?

I use a camera strap to hookup the rail and carry like a camera. The rest of the stuffs i put in a camera bag. It works well so far.
A Crown or a Speed Graphic can be easily carried on the shoulder
with a LowePro Mini Trekker leaving both hands to tackle the
heavy duty tripod.
However for a view camera with its monorail, use a larger size Bag.
So, after we shooting tomorrow, where we gonna scan the film :dunno:
FotoHub & Ruby Photo can do the developing (E6), but only FotoHub that can scan 4x5 slide film, and it will cost you S$20 for 1 sheet :bigeyes:
I'm not interesting to pay S$20 just to scan 1 sheet of slide film :nono:
I just ask all the shop in peninsular today, they all can't scan 4x5 slide film :cry:

Last time I would have disassembled the LF and carry in a bag as well... but now I've gotten lazy and have my own transport so i'd indulge myself with a hard case & trolley instead

Full confirmation from all participants! :lovegrin: However there will only be about 2-3 LF cameras on that day. So I would need to seek the participants patience for the hand-on session. There should be 2-3 person assigned to each LF camera. So each time only one person can get to use the camera. The owner of the LF camera will be overlooking at the camera and at the same time guide the users along how to shoot. The other particpants might have to wait a while for their turn. But in the mean time can see how the others will be using the camera. See you all at Funan Mcdonalds, 330pm. I will try to find a long seat near entrance. Will be putting a camera on the table, so you can see me.

I don't know how was it for the new guys, whether they got bored or not, but I noticed sweat100 engaging them throughout. Sorry I wasn't very involved, cos I don't really know my camera very well :embrass: so was muddling around some. When I was finished there wasn't much light left too
I think now that we're more or less familiar with film loading, basic camera operation etc, the next shooting should be earlier so we have time to scout our angles, prepare the cameras and play the waiting game.

Kudos to Sweat for expertly organizing this outing and sharing and guiding all the newbies, and also the newbies for their enthusiasm! :thumbsup:
Bows to the Master who quietly helped everyone with a taste of technical expertise bar none, and guidance all through out.
It was also heartening to see LFers helping each other and sharing! :heart: It's especially helpful for a newbie like me. Seriously. I still owe someone a $2,000 REAL hamburger! :embrass:

Hi all, thanks for the compliments. I hope this outing will rekindle and spark more LF users in SG. I would like to thank all the experienced LF users (fatcat52, forward, Dream Merchant) that share their viewpoints and knowledge, was an pleasant surprise. Plus other LF users who came down to chat for a while. Would also like to thank people who allowed newbies to use their LF cameras (fatcat52, foxtwo, clown, Dream Merchant) and every other who has helped in a way or another. I'm sorry I didn't mix around as much. I too was struggling to learn and I have to admit - I work much better one-on-one. Was also quite tired as I came after a technical testing session earlier. :embrass:
