Anyone still doing or interested in Large Format?

Need to lend Yoricko carry my cam AND tripod for a month. :bsmilie:

Yay! :X

So, slack on Sunday?

Fotohob at beach road does the E6 for the 4x5 right?

Yesh, Fotohub@Beach Rd does E6. That's where sweat got them done the first round.

I'll develop the slides on Monday then, since they're closed on Sundaes.

Yummy Sundaes!

My cardboard lens board, just made when mail arrived.

WAH, ZHUN ZHUN REPROCITY FAILURE ESTIMATION.

Adjustments for Long and Short Exposures

No filter correction or exposure compensation is required
for exposures from 1/10,000 to 1/10 second. At a 1-second
exposure, use a CC025R filter and increase exposure by
1/3 stop. At 10 seconds, use a CC025R filter and increase
exposure by 1 stop. At 100 seconds, we suggest that you
use CC10Y + CC025R filtration and increase exposure by
2 stops.

Probably slight colour shift...

Large Format For Street Photography

Can the LF be used for street photography just like the popular
range-finder, the Eectro 35?

It all depend on which shooting concept, insight, or practice
that you've learned and motivate yourself.

When you want to bring the law of shooting LF to life you
must remember - showing by example impact increases
as influence increases.

----------------------------------------------------------
If this small unique LF group has little influences,
little can be accomplished. Usually people valued
what was right over what was popular.
A strong foundation which to build greater influence
is necessary. ;):)

Finally found out why I screwed up.

I loaded 4 slides wrongly, notch at the top right / bottom left, BUT, I thought it was top right / bottom left in HORIZONTAL POSITION. But, it was actually top right / bottom left in VERTICAL position. (When you turn 90º Counter-Clockwise, the horizontal top right turns into a top left).

I didn't really bother feeling for the sticky side either.

Found out when I saw a video tutorial.

Red scale underexposed images.

-----

Back at home, I got one of Ruby's black plastic bag some time back and decided to see if its light proof by looking inside the bag with a lamp outside, suprise suprise, I see the lamp clearly. I got worried and it really happened, light leak. (Somehow manage to save one of the slides that was sandwiched)

-----

For one of the Aloy's holder, I think there is some light leak or maybe I loaded wrongly, don't think I loaded incorrectly though
And on the only "decent" slide, there seems to be a weird fingerprint mark.

-----

Just took a picture of my room for fun and I'm going to process it and see if it turns out alright. This time I made sure Emulsion side is facing up.

-----

The Seiko SLV shutter is slightly (SLIGHTLY) smaller than the Copal #0 diameter and the lens won't stay put. :(

-----

I screwed up 2 of Peace's slides and the Black plastic bag also raped another 2 of his slides, ugh.

ouch :(

hmm... not sure if the film holder has light leaks.. which side of the slide, shows the leaks?
err.. weird fingerprint..?

Don't really know which side, but its a smooth gradient from one side to the mid.

I'll check later

Notch is always on top right with the sheet held vertically, dark slide towards you, small flap away from you.

One plastic bag will allow light through. Three bags less likely.

I know whose fingerprint! Hehehehe!

Light leaks likely due to improper loading aka flaps not closed properly or more likely during handling in the open or during film transfer stage. Remember when the plastic bag came out of the changing bag at the cafe?

What is the size in mm? Sounds like you already have the Copal ) board. I can help you have a look and see how if you want.

I screwed up 2 of Peace's slides and the Black plastic bag also raped another 2 of his slides, ugh.

The best way to learn, sometimes, is by recognizing mistakes. Or learn from other's mistakes. Don't worry YoYo - next time can be more methodical and careful. It takes a great man to admit mistake and humility to want to learn. :)

We seriously also need to look for some kind of light-proof bags or carriers to transfer out film. Anyways, I have film holder for another 6 sheets on the way so next round, we might not need to change out film so much. Have you ordered your holders yet?
