I like your atitude towads life. But I disagree about the "stupid" part. Such comments can only come from those who are single, never dated b4, or are attached but feeling sore about something (lack of money)?

For me, yes, I think to pay for sky high prices for roses just on this day is not practical. The money would be better spent on something more meaningful. That's just me. But when u are really in love, you'd do anything to show how much you appreciate your partner. Money is of secondary issue. As someone just pointed out, is it stupid to celebrate cny where people queue up before the sun rises just to buy some bak kua from chinatown? (Actually they are not even queuing for something healthy!)

The fact is that, just because people are willing to do something that you're not, doesn't make them stupid. Different, maybe. But certainly not stupid.

Me, I'll state that I'm not willing to pay mainly for extra premium for flowers - like it isn't inflated enough. :bigeyes:
But I won't call those who buy flowers on V day at yes, an inflated price, stupid. Because it's their choice. It's a free for all world, after all =D
