Anyone knows which is the best editing software?

Frankly speaking, the best software is one that you will use and are comfortable with. There are Avid users who just cant touch FCP and vice versa. There are Premiere Pro users who are churning out great work.
Effects can be installed as plugins and can be done with a combo of software such as After Effects, Motion, Vue, etc. If you're just talking about transitions, then look at various software packages and search for plugins that you can purchase.
My choice is Final Cut Studio 2...not becoz its the best but becoz its value for money. Then again, you may not use 90% of the stuff that comes bundled with it.
No offence here but if you are going to look at effects and transitions as the deciding factor for your NLE choice....you may need to brush up on editing. Good straight cuts with great music will often suffice.

Maybe az-pro can let us know what budget he has in mind? I could be wrong, but I am guessing that he does not need a high end solution to get what he is looking for.
Of course, if he really is looking for "the best" then money is no object, right?

personally i would stick with my premiere pro and occasional vegas for effects. Haven't had a chance to play with fcp or avid....
Aft effect is more design as a compositing tool.. tho u can still use it for editing w trx and assembling ur clips. try it to edit a long video and u kno wat i mean..

i do know what you mean. still it provides all the tools and more. virtually unlimited transitions.

Final cut pro is a mac only software but nowadays you can get mac the same or sometimes cheaper as compare to pc with all the necessary things for multimedia production which is their ilife suite. For wedding basics getting final cut express is enough. they come with soundtrack,livetype and compressor in the package. unless you are going final cut studio which supports plug ins from adobe after effects. For windows i will suggests vegas as they are more stable for entry level NLE while for apple go for final cut express. Apple NLE Can also use as like adobe after effects.
u will hv hard time rendering with long video..

wooo rendering with AE is damn boring....not sure if RTx2 can solve it
