Afaik, any Sony experts pls correct me here or miss out anything.. E mount currently only has Sony lenses for AF lenses, 18-55,18-280,16. Soon to be launched 24/1.8 Carl zeiss, 30f3.5 sony macro, samyang fish eye 8/3.5(no AF).
For legacy lenses, will need adapters. To retain AF only Sony A mount SAM/SSM will have AF with LA-EA1 adapter, but the recent announced LA-EA2 will AF fast with almost all Sony/minolta A mount.
Other brands no AF, focus confirmation can be done with a AF confirmation chip, and certainly needs adapter and usually can be bought cheaply from eBay. If it's non-sony dslr lens, not possible change aperture from nex, manual lenses on other hand allows changing of aperture, focusing is done manually from mechanically coupled focus ring. Hope that helps
