Anyone got their NEX5n?

LOL I trust any guru here more than the sales guy anytime anywhere!
U try ask him "E-mount", "Aperture","focus peaking"... see he know what it is or not...

Wa....they re not THAT bad la...but yes, their product knowledge is generally worse than de "gurus" here ha ha.

When I ask another salesguy whether C3 and 5N is using de same sensor he said yes same sensor but 5N better cop got "bionic" (sic) processor, C3 dun have. Then another salesguy (this was from Sony store al jurong point) said not de same cos 5N is using exmor sensor but C3 is not (!!). Give up....

Can anyone advise where I can get my hands on a dual-lens kit NEX-5N set for $1190-$1195 there abouts?
I will also appreciate if anyone can let me know the usual bundle that the shops will package it.

They also never reply me. I tink cos no stock (but they should still have de courtesy to say). I bought mine from Harvey Norman jurong point at $1,227. They gave me discount cos I bought my C3 from them 6 weeks ago.

Used to own NEX5 and then upgraded to the 5N when Sony launched it last weekend. I must say that there are lots of great improvement from the 5 to the 5N. I thoroughly enjoyed the new NEX5N until... the clicking noise that comes with every movement of the camera... In my case, there is no need to have any hard sudden movement at all and that is not only on 1 set; I went back to the shop where I bought the unit from and tested all 3 sets that they have!! All same issue.

Wrote in to Sony and eventually got my $ refunded. Hopefully the new batches will have this issue fixed. If not, then might consider other model...

Prob try normal mode first then see how. De floodlights are very bright.

I doubt Sony will acknowledge the issue, it wouldn't make much sense for them. If they would they would be responsible to exchange all affected bodies. They will probably just fix it quietly.

Had to get Sony Singapore involved but refund was done through a Sony AD.

I do miss the NEX5N terribly ever since returning the item but I told myself that I am not about to settle for 2nd best. Will have to wait patiently now for the fix on future batches (hopefully) or just go for NEX7...

sometimes buttons, sometimes touchscreen, not clear about how Sony applies its principles with respect to user interface.

hate it when I try to swipe to next pic but ends up enlarging it instead. also miss the direct function buttons to Av/Tv (coming from a DSLR).

I just use de buttons 90% of de time. I dun tink dat just because there is touchscreen means I must use. De good thing abt using buttons is dat ur right hand can remain in de usual grip position. To use de touchscreen u have to let go de grip. I prefer to let my hand remain on de grip and just use buttons.

I generally just use the buttons. Actually mode is one of the few direct buttons when you are shooting. Just hit the button in the thumbwheel when shooting and it goes straight to mode. You can reprogram the other buttons if you don't like the way they function.
