Dun like dat say ppl lar. China is one of de top manufacturing countries in de world and apple is one of their customers. If they can cope will demand for apple products they can certainly cope with Sony. Is it really hard to get de sel 18200? Maybe cos not much demand hence ppl want to carry. Cathay photo marina square to my knowledge have cos I asked last month.

Yah I know. Almost everything we use are made in china. I hope to get it from HK which is cheaper retail 5990hkd, got several friends to buy it many times. SonyStyles said out of stock and retailers on the street actually jacked up the price The best price I can get locally is about $1050. Some of the shops locally almost said not a lot in the market.

BTW, if buy from HKG, the warranty is it international? - just read on other thread there is a tourist warranty which will tx the warranty to singapore.

In theory yes, any new purchase above sgd$400 need to pay GST at the custom. On the ground, it is up to your own discretion. If you never get stop by custom then ok. If get stop, then ask them and see what they say?

Sony Hong Kong's A77 "Ultimate" Package which cost HKD$16,680 is more attractive, but it has no installment plan, otherwise, i would like to pay by installment... LOL!
