Any place to find actors for free?

Hi, i'm a year one mass comm student from SP.

I am currently looking for some female actors for a final semester film project. We are looking for a female lead but we don't know where to find one apart from friends or from the school's acting troupe. Age doesn't matter just that appeareance at least closely resembles a young wife (20ish).

I need some tips yeah regarding casting. Hope u professionals down here can help out. Thanks!

Prepare talent release forms. Prepare business cards. Get your lecturer to prepare you a document explaining the situation. Then keep your eyes open for someone suitable on the street and approach them.

Want to know how the pros do it? Get business cards. Be professional and hit the streets and start auditioning hundreds.

There's also AADB.com which has actors. But be prepared to pay. However there are actors who might be willing to do it for free if your script is good or just for the experience.

yahoo groups is another resource.

Hit the acting schools and seek permission to put up notices. La Salle/ NAFA.

Just as you are looking for actors, they are also looking for experiences.
