I'm trying to source a Tokina AF 300mm F2.8 - AT-X 300 AF PRO for a friend but can't find it anywhere in Singapore.. Anybody with good experience ordering from a overseas online store kindly advice the web address.. Tks..

I tried, Adorama, which is good.

Hear B&H also not bad.

You may try Vpost USA to cut down the postage, but the feedback on their service has been mixed.

Need to take note though, purchase+postage above S$400 need to pay for 5%GST.

Tks for the feedback bro.. Will check out those 2..

Alternatively.. Does anyone know anywhere in Singapore that has stock for this lens?

B&H is good - I've used them many times. There was one occasion with problems on an out-of-stock item though, but overall they are good.

Tks bro.. Already emailed them.. See if they reply tonight, which should be their daytime :)

forget abt adorama. they dun accept singapore-issued credit cards. u need to wire the $ to them... they must think all singaporeans are cheaters... :complain:

ended up ordering from bhphotovideo my DVD. their verification process is much more user-friendly.

Is this the same B&H we talking about?

But I order from Adorama with Credit card, and they accept leh :dunno:

I have no problems with Calumet or BH. Calumet is a little more expensive than BH.

I had previously bought some stuff from Adorama. But one recent experience made me black list Adorama. It is not the credit card issue. They do accept credit cards from Singapore.

I placed an order for B&W papers. A couple of weeks later, I received some "cheat cards for Nikon SLR cameras". And charged me USD 200.00 for the shipping in addition to the cards which is completely useless to me! (I do not use Nikon cameras). I wrote in to inform them of their mistakes. They acknowledged my email and promised to come back to me. Weeks passed and I wrote to them again. Four further emails and no reply!

I reported this to Visa and they got me a full refund.

Never again Adorama.

I've bought from Adorama using a Singapore-issued credit card before.

However, my one and only transaction with them wasn't that satisfying which is why I stick to B&H most of the time.

not for me. i was ordering an instructional DVD from adorama last week. after going thru all the transcation procedures, received one email from them a day later saying they dun accept singapore-based cards and instructed me to wire $ to their bank. i was quite pissed with them and told them off. ended up buying it at a slightly higher cost over at B&H. B&H still required me to fax/email my credit card (had to scan it) to their secure server. all was done and verified in less than 24hrs. i received the DVD via UPS express service 2 days after dat. imagine if i had to wire money. my bank need to check with their bank... yaddah... yaddah... guess will take 2wks+ to get the package.

now, dats wat i call service!

Tks for the headsup.. Will take extra precaution if dealing with them.. Tks..
