Any news about new distributor?

well, for sure, not every human is like you wasting your time confusing feedback with complain.

We are not here to anti-this, anti_that, just a bunch of aunties and uncles and keke's , cheche's and meimei's and titi's here to do our parts to feedback our thots on what could be done better. If everyone just bochap, what community are we talking about? For one thing, when someone comments on something which he's not experiencing it himelf(like he doesn't need a k30) then I wld not think much of him unless he also has the same or similar experience then his comments are more relavant. I commnted on this comment not because i think of much it, but because I care about pentaxians not getting good service and there shld not be any excuse for us to keep the feedback to oursleves even though the previous agent might not have done a good job.

another thing: DON'T equate the brand to its agent. just like don't equate a nation with its ruling party. not trying to be political here, but just trying to make sense of why we comment on the service of the agent.

i dun need a K30 but there's always a desire to want new toys. i want a K30 as a 2nd body, i want a K5IIs to replace my K5, i want a Q10 as a compact setup, i want a 645D for the awesome DR, i want a Leica cos i like the red dot... but i'm still weighing the pros and cons of everything cos i dun have unlimited $$$.

so u need me to buy a K30 before i can authoritatively comment? :bsmilie: come on... we're all just sharing opinion right?

u misunderstand... i'm not saying that we cannot comment - but i just think that the tone of this forum is getting a little negative but it really has not been that long a time since apd took over.

and no, we should not keep feedback to ourselves. if a shop, a company, a distributor is not servicing its customers properly, not doing its job properly, we should state the facts. but that's exactly my point: they haven't screwed up or screwed anyone over to date right? but there seems to be already some unhappiness here over the new distri and i dun know why. have they done anything bad?

and i think it is unavoidable that the brand and the agent are linked - unless u intend to buy everything overseas from now on, u will be buying indirectly from the agent and after sales service is provided by the agent. if the agent is not doing its job, the local user community will suffer. u were unhappy with what u felt to be the agent's "gimicky promo", but is there any way to get new pentax equipment with warranty in SG without the agent's involvement? no ruling party will still have SG. but no local pentax agent means no pentax equipment for the local users. its a totally different thing.

Is it very urgent? Comparing to emjay I think apd has taken steps to get pentax on market with abit of advertising. Where do you find pentax in the past when you visit funan only SLRR selling pentax stuffs whereby now you got TK foto or even sgcamerastore having K30. Just give apd time to do their thing and sit back getting more shops holding the brand

well, this still controversial. i thot many of us liked it the way pentax went about NOT-advertising the brand and let us pentaxians reap the benefit of cheaper equipment. of course, more pentax users may mean also better pricing due to the economic of scale. i wld not want to give anything to apd yet until they can show us they can do better than mj in what matters most to us(pricing and service).
