Not really true, you have to account for workmanship and materials used. For example a tianya ND filter will produce a horrible magenta cast compared to a lee which has very slight colour cast which is easier to PP away.

I went to the course, they advise us dont buy expensive ones especially b+w and such.
Now i am damn confused with class and what i read about photography

which course? sometimes you don't need to have expensive filters to achieve the same effect.

If you are talking about UV filters then I guess its true, I usually can't tell the diff between the different brands of UV filters. But for ND and GND filters, the difference between brands is very big.

I've tried different brands of CPL and ND filters and I can tell you that there is a difference between the brands but whether you need to get such high end ones is totally up to individual preference.

CPL, If you have plenty of light, no need to get v.good ones...
ND will be another story due to the color casts at long exposure (minutes long). If I recall there is an issue of infra red at long exposure..well, if it didn't affect the photo, I guess the savings is good

There was mentioned that no need buy like B+W/Hoya....


I was watching some interview that day by a makeup artist, she mentioned something like ' last time, makeup artist is someone every model wants to be close with beside a photographier... now most models would prefer to have photoshop as their best friend.'

Haha photoshop is a girl's best friend now, what a 1 hour makeup can do, photoshop can do in 5 mins and makeup can't even make a girl look that much skinnier compared to photoshop:bsmilie:
