100mm macro without the IS is still good. Tokina make very good 100mm macro too and is much cheaper when compared to Canon's own version.
I would have gotten the tokina's version at my time... but it was out of stock... and I am itching for some macro... so bite the bullet and buy the Canon 100mm f2.8 (non-IS version).
Oh... and for 70-200 f4L IS, maybe you can consider the Tamron or the Sigma's 70-200mm f2.8 (VC or OS), you can get them for the same price as the Canon's 70-200 f4L IS or 70-200mm f2.8L (non-IS).

How about the Sigma's? They have fabulous reviews too. The only problem with these two lenses are that they are very very heavy.

my 35mm prime won't do for indoor group shot. Kit lens not fast enough for candid shots without flash. 11-16 f2.8!!!

But if shooting, i every weekend will definitely got 1 day to do it except now chinese 7th month so many parks / night shoot, i avoid![]()
