What's wrong with kit lens????

Csboi : No lar, u very fast and furious in post.

I'm still using kit lens as well!
 

veri veri off..Haha!!Agree with Rhino views.Having the basic knowledge n hoping to join more outings to apply them.Kit lens are fine.Just that i am not season enough to take great pics at the moment.Hope to brush up on the area of composition;)

Yup yup. Agree. But Having an extra stop or so won't hurt. Other than the shoulders.

But I've encountered times where I really wish I had the big aperture for shallower dof

100mm macro without the IS is still good. Tokina make very good 100mm macro too and is much cheaper when compared to Canon's own version.

I would have gotten the tokina's version at my time... but it was out of stock... and I am itching for some macro... so bite the bullet and buy the Canon 100mm f2.8 (non-IS version).

Oh... and for 70-200 f4L IS, maybe you can consider the Tamron or the Sigma's 70-200mm f2.8 (VC or OS), you can get them for the same price as the Canon's 70-200 f4L IS or 70-200mm f2.8L (non-IS).
