this dog is for show dog..
so the owner keep his dog long hair.. tight up lor ;( very ke lian cannot walk out of the playpen due to the owner dun want it fur to get mess up

eg level 14 character go n wack 15 or 16, hhahahahha, sometimes i can win

some thots of wat i see on nightwars as compared to herowars.

oic.. ya lor.. i worry because i scare i would be able to give him the best he could get ma ..
I did some research... Westie is a small hunter dog, quite a digger, hyberactive.. but maybe not as much as JRT, Need lots of exercise, good with kids as they can withstand rough play. independent etc.
But i wonder, can westie shower once a week? I read that they dun require often shower.. hmmm.. any westie owner here can advise me?

Hi Haze, personally i don't shower my westie so often as they are prone to skin problem.....usually only once a month, unless he get himself 'mudded' during rainy seasons and he loves to run about in the wet and muddy field.

However i do give him powder bath and brushing after his daily walk/run

Once a week too frequent lar....his white coat will also turn yellowish :nono:

oh is that why some westie is not white.. look yellowish? Because bath too much?

Sometimes the yellowish coat could be due to genetics...sometimes due to the kind of shampoo that was used.....sometimes means its time for handstripping session to remove his old coat.

I powder bath him using JnJ cornstarch just before brushing him. The purpose is to keep is coat dry since i use a wet towel to wipe his paws, mouth and coat after each outing.

oh is that why some westie is not white.. look yellowish? Because bath too much?

just now went to Waggie pet shop buy a few Puppy toy ^_^...

i wonder usually you guys go where to buy your dog stuff? Eg dog food, toy, accessories?

Go somewhere close to home so it is easy to get there .... Try to go to the small to mid size shops ... and go back to the same one regularly ...
Also bring your doggie along and get to know the onwers ... talk doggie chat with them ...
After getting to know them better and becoming a regular customer there ... you can usually get some good discounts .... i usually get a 10-15% discount at the place that I go to ...

Thanks for the tips.. ... guess what.. i got my dog ..
I adopted a 1.5yrs old male maltese. ya that dog which i mentioned have no tail.
Yesterday afternoon i went to the westie owner house to choose the puppy. When on the way home, my friend call me and said his friend willing to let go his dog to me. Must take asap due to he move house, the new area too quiet,, a single dog bark can hear very clearly. imagine he have 13 dogs so quite stress out. So i went to take .. is not because just a couple of hundreds. Is because i like the dog when i see him, a poor little who was always in the playpen. Actually before that, there are someone who willing to give me her 4 mths old male maltese and 2 yrs old female maltese. But due to no connection, i did not take either of them. I adopted this dog because i think he really deserve much more love and freedom.
imagine last night when i got him home. He roam around the house from 11pm to 7am non stop.. as if no need to sleep. never hear him cry.. so i think he is too happy can just run around freely. But then he fell down a few times between the kitchen and living room as there is a single stair. so everytime he was either stuck at the kitchen dare not walk up a stair or stuck in the living room dare not walk down a stair.
Today and tmr i will be taking half day afternoon to see company him.
